We’ve got this high pressure ridge sitting right over the Great Lakes. It’s been in the 80s during the days, and the low 50s at night here for a week, and will stay that way for at least another week. And no rain. Bleh.

Last measurable rain up here was Aug 17. We’ve had a couple little sprinkles since then that really shouldn’t count. But in the month before that, we got seven inches. Guess that’ll have to do it for us.
The fall colors are going to be pretty rough this year; we’ve already got trees losing leaves.

For weeks they’ve been saying it would cool off here and it keeps not doing it, or at least not much. It’s 91 right now (low 30s C). Which I guess is an improvement over 100 degrees, but it’s supposed to be crisp fall nights by now. We also really need rain.
Getting already pre-summer temperatures here. It is going to be a hot summer this year.

The last day of the Olds dog show was fantastic. Mimic took Best of Breed today, adding 2 points to his Grand Champion title. He now has 19 points out of the 20 required. With any luck, he will finish in Lloydminster in 2 weeks. We’re praying this isn’t the stink hole like in cribbage.

Yesterday was so nice, we had a bbq. Miso glazed salmon, steaks, steamed broccoli with a sprinkling of grated cheese and sliced cucumbers in seasoned rice vinegar. Everything turned out delicious. Now that that is done some rain would be appreciated. None in the forecast as far out as they predict. 
I wish I could say go Lions, but they didn’t go far Sunday. They had a few good moments but in general they looked awful. 
Season is still early so they need to get focused. I miss Mastadon, he used to razz me about my team. I hope he’s doing well. He had a ton of big life changes happen all at once.

Tell me about it. I had to watch my team get crushed in Prime Time and then watch my QB get knocked nearly into retirement. Couldn’t even watch football on Sunday.
All day long today. Schools cancelled. Flooded streets. “ Potential Tropical Cyclone Eight”

Just finished out grinding my last reputation from before The War Within expansion. Had to grind The Countess from the Ember Court event from out in Revendreth.
As a result, I now have every reputation in-game at Exalted status from before The War Within expansion. Just need to grind War Within reps now and then I’ll have every reputation maxed out!
