If you haven’t already done it, you can use the free trial for Amazon Prime to get the mount. After you sign up, you have to link it to your WoW account.

Trying to decide between character names:

Dorrothy
Dorathey

They both look equally odd and equally passable as a name.

Decisions…

Blizzcon announced in USD prices: 299$ or 799$ for VIP access.

This one. The 2nd makes me want to pronounce is dor-oh-they and not thee.

yeah, don’t think i’m gonna be able to do the faction/race changes as the sale ends just before i get my GST. ah well. i can still hopefully get dragonflight at least so there’s always that.

i may end up getting that crypt hunter pack for Diablo IV though. looks pretty cool honestly.

I hope forcing people to join Twitter in order to look at tweets works for them. It still won’t make we want to start an account.

I don’t like how the quickest response to server type issues from Bliz seems to be the CS twitter and not Bliz media such as the forum or launcher. I shouldn’t have to support twitter. Too many times tho I’ve seen it on twitter with no info here yet. :frowning:

It used to be that you could see the Tweets here on the WoW Support site. It would show them when you clicked on Support and then chose World of Warcraft. There used to be a middle pane that showed them. Looks like that’s either been removed or I’m clicking the right place to see them.

I know if was there because I used to direct people to it. That way, they didn’t need to visit Twitter to see the news.

I know that it is much easier for their teams to get info out onto Twitter than it is to update the launcher. I imagine it’s because they want to secure the launcher as much as possible and limit the number of staff who have permission to update it.

This is certainly an interesting change for Twitter…assuming it’s not just another glitch.

I’m not sure if that is intended or not, I hope not. Was there an announcement?

While we try to provide updates on various things on the forum, it isn’t as popular a medium as it once was. It also can be impacted by a service outage, preventing us from posting or you from viewing the forums.

Depending on the impact, the teams will often post Breaking News in the launcher and via Twitter. It usually takes a few minutes to populate in the launcher though and not all issues will be posted there, it depends on the impact.

Twitter still can reach millions of people very easily, and is a quick and easy process. Hopefully this is a glitch with their site. >.<

I tried to visit the links for Blizzard CS and Blizzard CS EU today and just get login screens. Even the main Twitter.com page does it.

Yeah, I tested it too and got the same thing.

I’m unclear on if that was an intended change though. Hopefully it’s not.

according to the update, it’s a “temporary emergency measure”

Edit:
Now somewhat permanent. A social network that is anti-social.

Yes, Elon posted that sites like ChatGPT and others were scraping the data at a horrendous rate, so they made it so people would have to login to Twitter to read anything.
