Well, had a helluva scare yesterday. Apparently I passed out while in Oxygen therapy and they had to send me to the ER. I woke up in the ambulance totally confused and not aware of my surroundings. Scared all the nurses at the wound center. Much better now as they sent me home late last night. From what it looks like it was extreme low blood sugar and oxygen toxicity. They gave me a break with the therapy and won’t have to come back in til Monday.

There are many posts that have rather elaborate storytelling within them. No names were given, no one was called out. Someone giving an opinion on vague things is not against the rules. This forum is not the place to attempt an argument with an SFA.

“Should be avoided” is not “absolutely prohibited”. No one engaged in a discussion of that thread. No one provided a URL or quote that referenced it directly so that anyone who didn’t immediately understand the reference would get it, nor did anyone mention any poster in the thread.
I am fairly familiar with the rules, Brickbat, since I’m the one that came up with the majority of them. So I am also familiar when they are being crossed.

They aren’t arbitrary, Brickbat, they are guidelines for this thread. If it would have devolved into a discussion of the thread I would have stopped it. As I have when other such discussions have infiltrated the lounge.

My Opinel #08 pocket knife went through the ice this winter after 40+ years of use.
New one comes today. Carbon Steel blade that holds a terrific edge for less than $20 US although you can also get it in thicker stainless steel for a bit less.
Opinel has been making basically the same folding knife since 1890. At one time, it was considered to be one of the top 100 best designs of anything in the world.
It does require two hands to open but that is offset by the quality of the carbon steel, comfort of the handle, and the security of the locking mechanism.

I have a mini Leatherman multi-tool that I’ve been using for around 20 years. It’s nice to have things last that long.

You’re fine, Darthwraith. There have been vague references to other threads in the lounge for years. The only time there has been an issue is when the discussion continues, and that didn’t happen.
It would be a dead subject, and already was, if it wasn’t for others who wanted to make it into an issue to suit their narrative. I think it’s just good to move on from here.

Going to go see Scream VI and 65 tonight. Scream VI fan event at 5pm, then 65 at a later time. Hope they are both good and entertaining. Next week is Shazam 2 followed the week after by John Wick 4.

Let me know what you think of 65. I was planning on seeing that this weekend. I already have my tickets for Shazam… I’m very excited for that one.
I still need to watch the 3rd Wick so I can go see the 4th. I was late to those. Not sure why I never watched them, but I finally watched the first two the other week, loving them.

I’m not going to post in this thread very often, if at all, moving forward; not really my thing.
But I wanted to note something that stuck with me from the military. Sometimes the appearance of guilt causes as much damage as actually being guilty. Because of this, some situations should be avoided. Fraternization, favoritism, group cliques with group think, cults of personality, all of that, whether guilty or not takes away from the primary purpose of the Customer Support subforum. It damages the appearance of impartiatilty of the advise. Ultimately this affects how Blizzard appears to the public. It is a fact that the Customer Support forum does an important service. It is especially important when a Blue comes along and corrects things. Without adult moderation, forums tend to devolve into 4chan messes (same with in game chat, frankly). But with power comes responsibility.
This applies to many areas I think and should be carefully considered.
With that said, I’ll go about my day and wish y’all a wonderful day.

Otherwise, the existence of the Lounge does not make Blizzard fail at being impartial. Nor does them posting in it.

This is a single thread that is open to staff and any player who wishes to kick back and relax with random chatter about their day-to-day lives. There will be anything from memes to recipes to someone struggling to someone having something awesome to share.
The SFAs are human too. The color of their text shouldn’t disallow them from mostly inane interactions. As much as I’ve been around these past few years, I’ve yet to come across anyone on this forum in-game (or at least not that I’m aware of), save for you ironically enough one day I was doing some business in Valadrakken when you were sitting on your mount behind me. Outside of the forum here, there isn’t some behind-the-scenes cohort or shadow council that gangs up to do things - no matter this weird conspiracy theory that some people want to cling to.
