Well, no good news on this front, but grats on the new gig and new grandkid! But I do have a chair I’m (mostly) happy with; the gas lift is a bit wimpy (I think I can swap in the one from my old chair), but the padding is fantastic. That was the issue with my old chair - I loved it, it was super comfy until the padding migrated away from my butt.
I’d forgotten just how much I love wearing hiking boots. My current pair are due for replacement, so I went out and got a new pair yesterday. And they’re sooo much more comfortable than dress shoes and even sneakers. I’d wear them for everything, but my current walking route is about 6 miles, and all on concrete - it eats shoes, and I don’t want to wear the tread down too soon.
But everything else? Yeah, I’ll be back to wearing hikers on a routine basis.
And I’ve been reading through Dark Legacy Comics’ archive. Some funny stuff in there.
No break in where you are all bruised around the ankles?
I’ve never had an issue with break-in. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong.
I grouped with him once in LFD. I “tried” not to be too fangirl.

Woot! I’m officially the Tech Guy for my Church and on the payroll. My first job was to setup 3 wireless access points across three offices. Easy peasy

Wife had an allergic reaction to a new medication today. She has a rash and hives, tingling tongue, lips, and face. Talked to the pharmacist, and she is now dosing with Benadryl. Another curious side effect? She is INSANELY high right now. LIke slurred speech, long drawn out words, freaking out when I puts some laundry on her covered feet etc. It is really weird to watch. Not gonna lie though, it is INSANELY funny too. She is working on passing out right now though, and that is a good thing.

yeah, after grinding to exalted on the Alliance factions back in early Wrath for the mounts and titles, i was pretty much nearly burnt out on rep grinds.
just imagine how rough it is with FF XIV’s “beast tribes”. you start off with 3 per day, then unlock an additional 3 with every tier you advance to, but you can only do 12 beast tribe quests perday.
granted you get quite a bit per quest, but still…
and here i grumble about them putting peanut butter in chocolate everything. XD

Tesla has a job opening in Nova Scotia for a field tech installing solor panels.
Neat-o. I’m not a networking expert, but it sounds like CenturyLink was spewing out incorrect or inappropriate routing updates that confused other gateways in their vicinity.
That’s a lie. It’s always Blizzard’s fault!

So, somehow she managed to take a shower. Kinda. I had to get her soap, wash her back, get toothbrush ready. Help her get out, listen to her talk about how did she get in there, help her get dressed, brush hair. The things you do for love.
And she does not understand why seeing her like this right now is absolutely killing me.

Don’t tell my brother. He’s on a solar panel jag ATM.
I heard Tesla is also working on roof tile solar panels that are designed for hard weather like here in town as well. Hard as in huge hale etc.
Hoping she recovers quickly. Those are not fun at all. Luckily, it sounds like she is in good hands. =)
Ugh. Not according to her haha

Spent all day pricing components to upgrade my PC. I replaced the case and fans a few months ago, along with a hand-me-down GPU and RAM from my son’s system refresh. Today, I think I settled on a new mobo, CPU (and cooler), GPU, PSU, RAM and SSD. Essentially, it’ll be a completely new system. The only bit left from the original 2009 build will be the virtually unused 1TB HDD.
Now I’m looking for a gaming monitor to replace this screen (or at least relegate this screen to forum/Netflix duty)
What’re you thinking of, monitor-wise?
