UGH!!! It wasn’t transportation blocking my return home tomorrow. It was setting up in-home nursing visits. Weekends are a terrible time to try and start it. Too many people with the weekend off.
I’m going there in a month! It’s interesting how the city is in both Missouri and Kansas, and the state line goes through it.
Also wanted to add, I’m excited to see the Christmas lights. They turn on for the first time every year at Thanksgiving.
Yay! You’d been missed. ![]()
Trying to decide what to do for dinner – so tired of cooking.
Want to avoid downtown if we can. They are doing a movie scene in one of the businesses tonight and I can only imagine how crazy it will be in that area.
Maybe we can just grab something from the taqueria near our house.
Door dash some 7/11 make the driver deal with the mess.
That’s fair. Yeah some shoppers just grab whatever dont smell or visually inspect produce or check dates.
People are happier if ya do that and often times give extra tips!
They’re actually two distinct cities separated by the state boundary.
Heh its the same with loydminister in alberat/sask
That’s what I do when I don’t want to deal with traffic or weather. But always tip well for that!
steps down from soapbox
Yup! Very true! I’ve been thru there many times when going from Leduc, Alberta to visit family in Saskatchewan. Good ol’ Highway 16. Also known as the Yellowhead Highway.
590 mounts learnt 600 should be easy by the time prepatch comes outanywho nite all.
Yeah but why isn’t Kansas City in Kansas?
“Both are named Kansas City. One is in Kansas, the other is in Missouri.“
Honestly, I kinda regret mentioning it.
Ugh, I hate cities in America when they are on a state line. Because you think they are one city, when the truth is, they are actually 2 cities.
What about American cities that are not in a stateline but are two cities only because a river runs through it?
Minneapolis/St. Paul
I mean, well, here in Australia, we have 2 cities that is not only a state border apart from each other, but a river too. On the New South Wales side is Albury, and on the Victoria side is Wodonga. And splitting these 2 cities apart is the Murray River.
