Is there a secret to liking Brussels sprouts? Ive tried for many years, and just recently at famous Dave’s, still can’t dig the taste. That’s how I felt about coffee tho for the longest time, but now I absolutely love it >,>

I very much enjoy their cobb salad with grilled chicken. I know it is not why you go to Smashburger, but it is my go to

Supposedly, grilling them is all the rage.
I can’t stand them, but I started off with my introduction to them being steamed, and that prejudice just isn’t going anywhere.

It’s all how you cook them. Me? I cut them in half, place on baking tray, a little olive oil, some seasoning and a bit of shredded Parmesan cheese. and bake at 350 till the edges are golden brown.

Another method is to boil them with a smoked ham hock. I get those for about $2 for 3 of them. Use one, put the rest in the freezer.

Or you can make a slaw out of them. Instead of cabbage, shred the sprouts and make a cole slaw out of them with some mayo.

My favorite way to prepare Brussels sprouts is in my shrimp boil, along with cauliflower, broccoli, new potatoes and carrots. And shrimp, of course (and usually crab legs). I switched from Old Bay seasoning to Zatarain’s, but I’m not terribly picky.

I did this just the other day. It was shredded brussel sprouts, dried cranberries and chopped pecans tossed with a honey mustard vinaigrette.
Honey Mustard Vinaigrette
2 tbsp red win vinegar
2 tbsp dijon mustard
1/4 tsp sea or kosher salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp honey
1/3 cup olive oil

That is my favorite way of making them too. They are also good in the air fryer.

I wont lie i chuckled at that. our little snow bunny. Also watching final season premier of criminal minds its ending like supernatural cant believe its almost over.
We had around 60 cm (24 inches) of snow yesterday. I’m going to need to put on Wendigo Woolies instead of this dress.

My mood today is like the weather outside. Gloomy and overcast.
If you ever read The Phantom Tollbooth or saw the movie(man I loved both) I am in the dull drums right now.
