My friends found an off the map dinner to eat at in New Mexico. They’re almost to Albuquerque.
Been nearly 48 hours since they left.
…and now I’m tearing at work…

Where in Michigan are they moving to? Fall is almost here and the trees will beautiful in all their colors soon. It’s my favorite time of year!:smiling_face_with_three_hearts: Too short though. Apple picking. Cider mills and donuts.

True story, when I drove from California out here, I drove through Albuquerque. I intentionally made a left turn just so I could say…

Detroit area. Where they grew up.

It is really a great place to live. I should know. I live outside the city but the downtown is growing like mad. All the lofts, apartments are waiting lists. It’s kinda of an exciting time here. There are bad places still, but it’s like that everywhere.

Is it still true you can buy a house in Detroit for like ridiculous cheap? Like less than a beater car cheap?

A wreck maybe but not anymore.

Irma scared a lot of us a couple years ago. And Maria 2 weeks later. Even though she never hit us. Poor Puerto Rico. Even I evacuated for the very first time. I’ve been down here since '88. Never left once.

But people are losing their minds down here. Most places are out of water. Sam’s Club was a nightmare. Lines at gas stations. And figures, I needed gas. Not for the hurricane, I just needed gas. If I’d known I would got it at 3:30am when i went to work.

I’m staying home where there’s only one crazy. Except for work.

The not knowing it track must be awful. The maps show the whole state in the bullseye. Also they say it might be a 4? Scary.

The Metro Detroit is strange right now. The center of the city is vibrant and growing leaps and bounds. They have been tearing down vacant homes so it is almost like a ring of empty around it. They actually have some urban farms. Then a ring of not so nice neighborhoods, and then the suburbs.

Yeah. And this time of the year breeds the worst. Mostly because the waters are SOOOO freaking warm right now. And will be until October.

Those spaghetti maps are hilarious in one respect though. Floridians make fun of them. The cone ones look a little better. Both are saying the same thing though. “WE have NO freaking clue except some where between HERE and…HERE. We’ll keep you updated”

I’m not leaving if it comes. If i die, raise a pint in my name. Otherwise i got work Monday

Are you close to the coast? My relatives used to live in Naples til the grandparents passed a few years ago and they moved to Tennasee last year. They couldn’t take the stress anymore.

Tampa. West coast.

You won’t have the storm surge. But the winds are frightening.
