Still haven’t even unlocked the Mechagnomes. Someday, I just might do it. But I’m in no hurry, to be honest.
Does anyone else see the abbreviation of Code of Conduct as a conduct violation too?
Is this a rhetorical question? Personally, no, not unless an extra unnecessary letter is appended to the abbreviation, or the letters of the abbreviation are used intentionally to circumvent the language filter.
In other news, I can tell I’m getting old and cantankerous because the random use of ‘lol’ at the end of statements not intended to be humorous annoys me to an irrational degree. Why do people do that?
Perhaps because text is such a hard way to convey emotions or reactions to something around you. A “lol” could also be used as a nervous laugh or just a “voiced” response to the other person.
While in person the other people in the conversation could read physical cues from the others as a way to tell how they are reacting. That isn’t possible with text only.
I agree with Kyzera.
What one reader finds amusing, another reader may find offensive.
“lol” is usually used to deprecate the intensity of a statememnt. Statements of our fundamental core beliefs will not typically include lol.
I haven’t done Timewalking in over a year. I forgot how it was. No stopping unless you die. Just run and smash and loot.
I didn’t know this. I shall have to go and check whether the one that always stood out in my mind has been updated. Just out of curiosity. I wasn’t offended (well, maybe a tiny bit in an RP kind of way, since the NPC in question is being intentionally offensive). Just mildly surprised to see an NPC using a particular word.
(Brought this over here so as not to derail OP’s issue, since my brain as usual is off on a tangent that to me is basically interesting trivia. Hope this is okay material for the lounge thread.)
If it was Garrosh, it’s gone.
As long as we keep things civil and dont violate the forum coc go ahead.
Story and character-wise, I understood it, but it tended to be a bit out of character for game content. While we still could easily maintain our Teen Rating, I think our Devs felt it sent a mixed message.
Generally that’s fine. ![]()
No, it was a minor quest in… Hyjal I think? There was an NPC hanging from the ceiling in a cave and he called me something along the lines of “you stupid foot-paladin” except “foot” was not the body part he used.
I don’t even remember exactly what Garrosh said. I think I wasn’t playing at the time so I only caught references to it here and there. It also surprised me when I heard about it but the context was fairly different.
It was said while Horde was doing the quest line in Silverpine Forest. Female dog reference.
“Watch your clever mouth!”
Clearly I haven’t leveled new Horde alts, cuz that was changed in 2020 and I had no idea.
I don’t usually announce but I’m alone and feeling lonely. It’s my birthday today. At 44 years of age I wish I had done more but I’ve tried. ![]()
You still have time left to do more if you wish.
you are very kind, thank you ![]()
Happy birthday its all water under the bridge here were family. Or friends.
Happy birthday Water! You’re still younger than me and I’ve recently gone back and am in college again with a completely different career path. There’s always time to make changes, do different things or party like it’s 1999.
Happy birthday friend. It is ok to feel alone. Hang.out here in the lounge with us. I do hope you have a good birthday.
thanks friends ![]()
