After 18 years playing this game, and nearly as long on these forums, I think I’ve finally seen a thread so over-the-top offensive that it makes the case that some posting histories are so vile as to warrant immediate and permanent account closure and a lifetime ban for the player from all ATVI products.
Agreed, the trolls seem to be getting worse and far more petty than ever. The lengths they go through just to make people just as miserable as they are is just unreal.
Got home last night, just in time to beat this snowstorm. Blake the cat was the happiest I’ve ever seen her, crying at me as soon as I walked in the door. Now she’s clingy as heck.
Although both her food and water bowls were empty, so I’m wary that my dad didn’t get in to feed her the day before. He’s been working, and his work is practically nextdoor to him, while I’m 10 minutes away, so I don’t blame him too much… but still.
Thanksgiving with my partner’s family was pretty fun! Earth bread went very well, although the “honey butter spread” was more of a glaze. (One stick of butter, one cup of honey and half a cup of powdered sugar??? Good lord, yeah, that’s icing, not a spread!!) Treating it like a glaze made the bread taste so much better, too! I can post the recipe if anyone’s curious to try it themselves.
Next up: Preparing for my surgery next week. Wheeeeee!

They are tied to your Battlenet, not the WoW account you claim it first on. I claimed the pet first on my main NA account, then on my EU and Beta.
Agreed. Last night, we had an hour or so waiting for the boat in SW. It was a lot of fun, just chatting and joking with everyone. A few people always have to rage and antagonize.
I just hope they rage in here when those reports hit Blizzard. I can see the excuses already.
Anyway, boat came and had some fun. First quest was to kill some drakes with everyone else. Yada, yada, yada. I hit max skinning in about 20 minutes.

Oh I know. But since I already had the mount prior to this event, I didn’t expect it to show up on NA realms. So far, it hasn’t.
Where did you find the skinning trainer. I’m taking a skinner to the Isles later this week and haven’t see a trainer for it in the first couple of quest hubs.
First hub that has an Inn. If you are facing the Inn, over to the left near a trade goods vendor.

I haven’t. Skin your first corpse and you learn DI Skinning. Saves 100g too.
Kinda assuming the same thing with mining and herbing, but I don’t know for sure.

I’m not sure that it was saving you the training fee, actually. The gathering just directed you to the person that would train you.
In my anecdotal case, that is. I’ll double check on an alt I’m running through when I get home, but I’m almost positive.
No, it taught me Dragon Isles Skinning. I never found a trainer to purchase the skill for 100g. Purchased LW, Cooking, and Fishing, but no Skinning.
Bug? Perhaps. But a positive one.

I found the herbing and mining trainer with the crafting trainers at the second quest hub. Cooking was there too, in the Horde Embassy. Fishing was at the first hub.

Just looked on Wowhead. Skinning guide says skinning is the only profession you don’t have to visit the trainer for. So mining and herbing need the trainer.
Weird, but no complaints.

I had a mostly problem free launch experience.
Sure, the boat was delayed by ~15 minutes, but w/e.
I think I only experienced one 30s server lag spike where I was almost d/c’d, but outside of that, no server downage on my end. WM ON on an RP realm does wonders.
