[CS Lounge] Mastadôn's Puntastic Pseudo-thread!

I boil chicken thighs, skin on for 3 1/2 4 hours or so. Cook all that flavor out of the bone. That becomes my broth that i adjust accordingly for my chicken soup.

We have the showers over here right now.

We just had big line of nasty storms come thru tonight. Looks like there is another line on the way to us tomorrow as well.

I wish we would get rain over here in British Columbia. We have had temperatures lately that have smashed records for the past few days, With no rain in sight.

Our forest fire season should have ended by now, But we still have a lot of fires burning. And we still have fire bans in effect which is rare for this time of year.

Boourns. I tested positive for Covid last night. So far, it’s not too bad. I’m double boosted, so I’m hoping that helps out.

I will get a high five from my fiance if I escape Costco spending less than $100.

Sure, it’s an extremely sarcastic high five, but I see it as a win.

Here’s to hoping for a speedy recovery!

Oof, I hope it’s mild and there’s no long covid. I’ve been dealing with long covid, myself (a lot shorter of breath than I had been). I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

(…miles, autocorrect? Really?)

Hope you heal up fine Perl, the vaccins should help since they must’ve trained your immune system. The hospital healthcare atleast improved after knowing more about Covid over 3 years if it comes to it >:(

We’re supposed to start getting our new wave of covid vaccines starting next week in Europe.

Hey folks.

Not looking to drudge up drama… but, a blue question: is there a time limit on what you can and can’t see in terms of edits vs deletes? IE: an edit 2 minutes in you won’t be able to see the original post, but an edit 1 hour later you might?

Not trying to cause problems or rile anyone up, but it’s not a wildly helpful scenario if I edit out some text in the first minute, and you won’t ever see it, heh. It’s not account discipline related, it’s not related to an account that’s not mine… I’m just trying to not cause drama for a group of staff who are already having an unpleasant time with an unfortunately stack of sudden game releases.

They will not tell you what they can or cannot see as that would be considered a way to try and game the system.

If its within a few seconds or few min i dont think they can see but ditingit later I think the can see the before and after. Keep in mind u cant speak on behalf of another player blizzard will never deal with a 3rd person only the account holder.

That would be correct.

I can answer this. The forum software has a grace timer so that if you very quickly edit a typo or something, it won’t show the edit pencil above the post. If there is no pencil icon showing an edit, then it is within the grace period. Blues can’t see things that are in that short grace period. What I don’t know, is how long that grace period is. Something between 3 and 5 mins I think? Certainly an hour later they would be able to see it in the edit history even if it does not show to the public display.

I appreciate the information, thanks. Hard to tell between what admins/privileged can see vs regular users as far as third party software is concerned… But Orlyia made it clear that she and her colleagues aren’t directly tied to the gear store, so I won’t ask/hold anything against them.

Hope everyone’s October is going well, and that the appropriate amount of moonkin dancing is being performed ;D

I have regrets.

Stopped at the grocery store on my way home tonight. The bakery had individual (4-inch) coconut cream pies, so I bought a couple.

Really wish I had bought a couple more.

I’m right there with you in a sense. Since I’ve a niece and nephews out of state, we always do up Halloween bags to send up for them, and special loaded bags for all the local family kiddos. I just grabbed candy assortments blindly when I was doing my big monthly haul grocery shopping and once I got home and took stock of everything…yeah.

There’ll be plenty for the kiddos and any non-family ones that come by, but the snacking that’ll be going on (and may have already started…) is going to wreak some havoc.

I buy the candy for trick-or-treaters at the last minute. All candy brought into the house before October 30 is liable to be seized by the homeowner.

I did see a story (not sure of its veracity) somewhere online last week, about someone handing out candy by just flinging it blindly out a second-story window every time the doorbell rang. I want to riff on that by just lobbing full-size candy bars through the open screen door at the kids before they have chance to turn up the driveway.

Or a candy bomb. Wish I could find that video again.
