[CS Lounge] Mastadôn's Puntastic Pseudo-thread!

That looks good. But I really love Korean Kimchee Soup.

I should be in bed right now, but another game has me hooked right now. The hubby and I love it and have been playing it for years.

Taking a little break from WoW at the moment.

PS: No, it isn’t FFXIV :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m awake and want to get cranking more on leveling up my roster, but I know I’ve said it once above already - I’m just so bored doing the same stuff over and over again. I would just follow the general story line, but as you go the gear and the XP diminish as you outlevel the areas so quickly with the buff. Threads is better in that regard but the dailies and special leveling spots in a zone only take you so far.

My husband and I played almost daily the whole time I was on leave. We just got a bit burned out. We’re into sci-fi, so we went back to a game (it’s an MMO) we started playing back in 2012.

It’s fun, and I love the immersive stories it has. We haven’t even scratched the surface on all there is to do. I won’t name the game specifically, but we just got done hunting down these special items on each planet.

I tried to take a break from leveling to do the ZM rounds, but it’s still repetitive enough that I’m very meh about it. My druid main I’ve got sitting comfortably at 287 and with her slime kitty. I do need to crank out the weekly for my rogue at the very least, but I’ll work on that before reset. I want to do things, but it’s just I need something to break up the monotony here.

My guild is basically finished with Shadowlands. We got one more raid to do, that is the end of expansion drunk raid, where we invite everybody and have a good time. Not gonna touch and of the Classic realms for obvious reasons, so I’m looking at a few other game in my library.

I putzed around a bit on basic Classic, then TBC a bit with my boosted one. I am in no dire rush to go into Wrath seeing what I’m seeing forums side (past getting the retail mount that comes from rolling a DK at least).

Even on the roleplaying front on retail, I’m just very meh about it. Just on principle I actually camped out in Stormwind for several hours tonight to prove a point. Aside from the typical Friday night bombing of the Cathedral and the usual Orc who likes to nettle the locals, it was relatively quiet.

Not to mention when they sock puppet like is happening in that thread.

I figured that’s what was going on, but I wasn’t exactly sure. I can definitely see it now.

When i played i had 3, maybe 4 max level toons.

I just did not enjoy leveling. Doing content ibhave done so many times before. Got too repetitive for me.

Honestly, I did it to myself. Back with WoD and the very long content droughts, I and my GM went head to head for who could grind up the most max-level characters before Legion dropped. I want to say I had 26 when all was said and done, my last being a DK who dinged hours before Legion went live. Since then though, I’ve whittled it down considerably. I’ve got… 12 at current, split between MG Alliance and WRA Horde and a handful more in the wings. The Roleplayer’s Mentality gets me more than anything than blindly (and insanely) mass leveling like I did then. I have three rogues, but each a different race with drastically differing stories (we don’t speak of the other three that are lower levels). I’ve got a couple that have Horde and Alliance counterparts.

I’m in a similar situation. After my mad dash to reach level 68 in time for WotLK Classic (a goal I missed by about a day), I’ve been suffering some mild burnout. I’ve been taking it much slower now that I’ve made it to Northrend.

I’m definitely in the same boat. When I was laid off at the beginning of the pandemic, I leveled a bunch of characters. And I feel somewhat obligated to level every one of them to max level. After the exp bonus kicked in, I made it a challenge to see how fast I could level by healing dungeons. It was fun, but in hindsight, I should have been working on endgame content a bit more instead.

I still enjoy working through older content (there’s a bunch of variety doing that), but once I hit the current content, I kind of hit a wall. I much preferred Legion’s and BFA’s “pick a zone” questlines.

And whose turn was it to buy donuts today? I need an apple fritter.

Funny you should say that as i am currently debating if i pick up Dunkin Donuts for the kiddos tomorow or not.

Will be entirely determined on how motivated i am to go to Wally World to get some shorts and shirts to exercize in.

That motivation will be determined after i get off today. Gonna check out a few gyms see what the hidden costs are etc.

I meed to get into better shape. Sketchers store already got me when i went in and they were buy one get one half off. So got some new work out shoes when i bought new work shoes.

Nothing wrong with debates as long as:

  1. They are in a venue appropriate for the subject
  2. They don’t start to go in circles

Unfortunately, these days the majority seldom adhere to either 1 or 2.

Well, we had to turn on the furnace this morning. It was 29 when we woke up. Just to make sure it’s all working you see. It is. I heard there were snow flurries up north. Winter is coming. The trees should be at peak color next week. It sure is pretty. :maple_leaf: :leaves: :fallen_leaf:

Just had to turn on mine, too. It’s been blowing a lot of dust, though. My poor sinuses. :dracthyr_cry_animated:

We had a little frost on the cars this morning, and I had to pull out winter gear (hat, gloves, fleece jacket) for my pre-work walk.

It’s soooo marvelous after the scorching summer we had.

And the smell. I call it burning spider smell. I’m sure it’s just dust, but do we really know for sure?

Oh yeah. I’m sure they’re already dead, but absolutely that’s part of it.
