The flyover America comes to town tomorrow. This should be fun. I’m right in the middle of both flight paths. I’ll be able to watch them from miles (cities) away.
Ok, the geek side of me is rather excited. It won’t be like the black hawk night exercises or the daily grid flights during the Super Bowl, but it is still a sign of appreciation. Now, where is that flag?
for some reason, i pictured a plain white flag, with Aik’s avatar in the middle and “Aiktoria” written underneath it in fairly big lettering. (kinda like Petoria from that one episode of Family Guy) and now i can’t stop laughing.
on a side note, i learned something interesting about Druids. apparently its recommended to level up as a Feral Druid, due to Balance being so mana costly. so now i’m in the processes of leveling up a fresh Druid, to be my mainstay alchemist (not sure how long THAT’LL last though. .-.)
though should she get to lvl 60, i may consider making her a Resto, with the downside being…i’ve never played a healer role in WoW (let alone FF XIV) before. so…i’m a little nervous about it. ._.
go for it! face and popcorn on the flag sounds reasonable to me. XD we need to get this made. maybe implement it as items in WoW for us posters to use for…“reasons”?
hey! plant it in the corpse of an opposing enemy player for kicks! XD
Feral until 40. If you like Balance, that’s when you change.
Like with Mages. Fire until 50, then Frost because the leveling zones for 50 are primarily fire-related and resistant to your fire spells.
Those were the pearls of wisdom I remember from Vanilla.
Edit:
I mained a lock and a pally in Vanilla. I was alternating leveling them until around 30-35 range then chose lock. I have a number of locks on my accounts, but only one pally so far. The third character i made was a druid. I leveled her far enough to get swim-form during Vanilla. I got her to max during TBC. I didn’t level my pally to max until Wrath.
It really depends on the class and the content. Some classes are standardized. This gives an opportunity (backed by a false sense of security) to use what others have used in the past. After all , how can an instructor know about everything that’s been turned in previously? Right? Silly students. We use the same technology (and experience) they are using to find ‘their’ answers. In some cases, we already have those answers (yes, I’ve had a student turn in the instructor answers (didn’t even cover the headers or footers)).
Now there are other classes where more control can be utilized on an individual level to evaluate whether or not a student understands the concept. During my first graduate degree, we coined a phrase (not very original); give them the monkey . A student in class shared a story that when they are in a meeting, everything breaks down into chaos. Who is talking to who about what? They implemented a sock monkey as a visual tool. Whoever had the monkey could speak during the meetings. It didn’t really take long to bring order from chaos . Now in my quality management class, for the majority of their work, the students create a process improvement project and gather their own data. Throughout the semester they can only use their data (and show me how it is accumulated appropriately). I get a lot of questions in that class because they need to really understand the reasons and use of metrics (unfortunately metrics are frequently used to fire or demote someone when used incorrectly). By giving the learners the monkey in this fashion, it vastly reduces any opportunity for them to find answers to their individualized dilemma on a paper selling website. In this environment, I’ve seen learners ask for an extension just before the third assignment is due for 1) more time, 2) clarification of the subject matter. Incidents of plagiarism in this case are very low.
To make a short answer long (a true sign of an instructor)… this semester… Wow. This was very high. I’m told that the graduate programs have greater problems.
Saan, I still use a full library of books on my shelves (more space is actually allocated to cookbooks and D&D materials). It’s rare, but it does happen, someone has tried to use a source from an old text without appropriate citations. Silly learners. I have more books than I need and have read ‘most’ of them. I’m still waiting for someone to cite me .
Ever wonder why someone would be snubbed but never knowing the reason as to why? I guess one would never know unless the air were cleared, Maybe it’s just a misunderstanding that caused the snub to begin with but how can one tell what caused it unless the air were cleared.
It’s Cinco De Mayo today! We are having fish sandwiches. They were all out of taco stuff. The rotating shortages are hard to keep up with. Now it’s dish/dishwasher soap. Plenty of paper products. Low on rice, flour, ramen, noodles in general. Meat prices are insane if you can get some. I paid $18 for the same package of ground beef that I paid $9 for a few weeks ago.
I’ve just discovered that I’m not as jaded as I would have believed, and my naiveté has been exposed. Today I learned that the internet acronym for ‘good for you’ is actually an acronym for something else entirely.
I understand the frustration. Because of the buffs I dragged out my Rogue. She’s a pretty low level. Doing world quests she got some higher stuff that had infinite stars on it. Also got something with gushing wounds. (I have never seen that stuff on me). So I started the cloak stuff. She was okay until I had to do the Uldum invasion. Those guys hit like trucks. I had to ask for help. I got the cloak and now am leveling it.
Started my YouTube channel! got 3 videos up so far, I spent the time off learning adobe premiere and getting a quality microphone! It’s just nice to have something to express my creativity besides drums.
I’m stumped on how to handle my social media for my channel, I really don’t want to seem like a leech or someone who comments/follows just to get views lol. That’s this weeks homework anyway to help it grow more.
Thinking of going to a trade school after summer as well, just so I can get a solid career going while I pursue music and whatever else may come my way.
