Today is just burgers on the grill because itās a holiday. The bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwiches are just about done. The plants gave up the ghost and I cut them down. Fresh tomatoes are the best.

I had to give up on my local Subway. I canāt recall the last time they got my order right. Switched to Jersey Mikeās and Iām much happier now. I also still hit up Jimmy Johnās from time to time.
In other news, I am officially on vacation. I requested off Sept 5-15; my first vacation in five years. I spent the first day working a 9-hour shift, covering for a driver who is apparently still recovering from CoVID. Today, I spent Day 2 in bed. Tomorrow, I clean and pack, becauseā¦
Wednesday, I fly to Seattle to hang out with my sister and her family for a few days. My niece will be a freshman at the Univ. of Washington this fall, so my sis and her husband are accompanying her from Germany to get her set up and settled in. I havenāt seen any of them since before she started Kindergarten. Too long, way too long.
Return home late Saturday night, then have four days to tackle a bunch of homeowner projects Iāve been too busy to deal with. Will probably do some more job-hunting, too.

man i would love a toasted club on italian herbs and cheese, with lots of tomatoes and pickles. 
sadly, lack of funds is preventing me from this. and what little i do have will need to go towards buying food to get me through the remainder of the month.
At some point I think I became the Queen of the Blooplets. I shall endeavor to be a just and fair ruler.
