[CS Lounge] It doesnt matter if you fly it matters what u did with your mount

Ford dealership is still trying to fix my car. Monday, I picked it up and dropped it off again three times. Picked it up Tuesday and went to work, on the way home, the check engine light comes on (again). Dropped it off again first thing this morning.

This time, they got it to fail again before giving it back to me, and asked to keep it overnight. For a loaner, they gave me a brand new loaded F-150. I told them to keep it as long as they liked.

Edit - My service advisor confided to me that he’s only been with Ford less than a year, after 15 years with Dodge. I asked “Are you saying I should buy a Challenger next time?”

It sounds like it’s time to take the ole car out to the back and shoot it.

Not feeling today at work at all.

Not a bad day. Not a hard day. Just not feeling it.

Did make some peanut butter jelly cupcakes though. They are yummay.

I don’t really wanna go to work today, either, but I have an obligation to drive the hell out of this truck until they make me give it back. :checkered_flag: :racing_car:

I just need the dealership to not call me in the next couple hours. Monday morning works best for me.

Watch out for the crabs at the DMF. I think they are pick-pockets. I got a Small Green Pouch from one of them.

Can you make Tarimisu muffins? I will take a dozen.

Aren’t you, at some time, transitioning from kitchen to working the floors?

Mind you, both are long hour low pay heavy lifting end of the employment world, but at least you would escape the (literal) heat.

I do both.

But i took a step up on the kitchen as well

sounds like they’re just…“shellfish” to me.

They can’t figure out why it’s doing what it’s doing, so they’re unsure how to proceed with the fix. Said they’d call tomorrow with a status update, and told me to hang on to the loaner till then. I begged them not to twist my arm.

Psst … red is rad, blue is bad

At least you get to keep the loaner for a bit.

Bummer about your vehicle though.

It’s my first meme. At least I (kinda) got the right template. :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s a sensor telling the computer the timing is off, but it isn’t. To me, it seems like a faulty sensor that needs to be replaced, but what do I know? :man_shrugging: I’m not a mechanic.

Could be the sensor. Coule be a bad computer as well

The two things that come to mind at least.

I’m good either way. Since all the work orders between the first one and this one have been the result of bolts and clamps not being properly tightened, and/or components not being connected properly, this one’s on the house.

They also offered me two years of free oil changes. Wonder if they noticed it’s an 8-year-old car with 208k miles. Oil changes are a monthly thing for me.

I hope it doesn’t need a new chip. Good luck with that.
