Also remember, coyotes hunt in packs. Best thing to do with them is what they do in some parts of Texas and get hunters to go after them. Some counties in Texas pay hunters for each coyote they get.

It’s the weekend! Happy holidays.

Got my booster yesterday. My arm is very sore. I cannot lift it very far and sleeping on my left side is not easy.

On a lighter side, we’ve learned our new kitty really likes apples. My wife has gotten to the point where it takes just a single bite of the apple before the Paczki comes running at the sound of the crunch. So yes, she is an apple filled Paczki.

I removed the sound as it was just too tinny sounding being recorded with my phone.

We have a lot of wildlife in this area – since I live on a sand hill near the river. We have deer, alligators, turkey, foxes, coyotes, gopher tortoises, turtles, rabbits, possums, raccoons, snakes, etc. The foxes & tortoises use the burrows in my yard to live at various times throughout the year.

Yes, in certain areas, some species can become dominant and either have a positive or negative effect upon their environment. But we must strive to find a balance between all the species of an area, not just simply eradicate a species entirely.

Great video that we watched during University for my Biology classes:

Merry Christmas everyone! :christmas_tree: :santa:

We made a prime rib roast on the SmokeFire grill. I was heavenly. We put it on at 10 this morning real low and it came out so tender. No knives needed. Brocolli and mashed taters, au jus and some horseradish for dipping. I am stuffed. It’s warm and drippy but that’s okay. It’s Christmas!

Funny story: We had a goat on the farm named Eleanor that thought she had all the privileges that us humans had, We would put her in the fenced in area of the barn (Electric Fence) and within minutes she would be on the front porch knocking on the front door with its hoof, I really liked that goat.

We had many varieties of animals, A small Squirrel Monkey, Goat, Peacocks (Male & Female), Quail & Peasants (In Pens Of course), Chickens, Ducks, Black Angus Cows, A Mule, Guineas (Which make the best for warning of enemies), A large 25-acre field for growing hay for the animals for winter… I sure do miss that life.

It was one of 5 farms that my Great Great Grandfather owned and share cropped out in the late 1700’s and over the years was divided up, I’m the only family member that kept a portion of the land, Soon I will sell it too as housing developments are only a couple acres away from my land in the Charlotte City/Mecklenburg County area, I only wish I could go back to that way of life.

A neighbor 2 houses over from me bought their teen-age children a 4-wheel ATV to play on for Christmas this year. Only problem is we live right on the edge of the city in the suburbs with about 20 feet between the houses. I had laid down to take a nap and just as I was falling into a deep slumber here comes that 4-wheeler and I mean it is loud, No nap for me. I feel someone is going to complain as soon as people go back to work their late shift, I just hope that everyone comes up with a peaceful solution because there are no woods nearby to ride that thing.

got a keurig and an air fryer. the first i was in need of, as i had to throw my old one out, but the latter? didn’t ask for it, and certainly wasn’t expecting it. though i had been giving it some serious thought as of late.

gonna pick up some supplies tomorrow if possible, and try this bad boi out. see how things taste. i’ve heard from quite a few that ever since they got an air fryer, they almost never use the oven for anything.

bout the only thing i personally use mine for, is my macaroni dinner or fries and chimken. Christmas was nice. dinner was amazing. was thinking of ordering a pizza, but Pizza Hut is now charging almost $5 for delivery. x_x may just stick with the usual pizza place near me, but i may wait till New Years Eve, not sure yet.

Happy Sunday folks. My personal weekend movie recommendation -

  • Encanto (Disney+)
Encanto was a cute, very pretty animated film. Songs were good, but I had a hard time following some of them. Will need to relisten… they’re pretty quick.

I hope you all are having a great weekend
