How far south are you?
It’s pretty clearly been winter for a few weeks where I am.
sets out breakfast, as well as coffee. Also a special mug of coffee just for Orlyia.
Good luck and godspeed, Orlyia.
I’d give some, but we really didn’t get all that much. It’s been so cold that the bit we did get though has been sticking around.
Good morning folks. Half way through this first week of December hoping your coffee or beverage of choice has been warm and December treats munchable.
I usually don’t mind getting gift cards, the sole exception being Amazon. It’s mind boggling: Every time I try to log on to Amazon it keeps sending a code to my old phone number. I no longer have my old phone nor it’s number, so no log in code.
So begins a cycle of calling Amazon support, verifying recent purchases, them doing something to allow me to sign in and it’s fine…Until I’m asked to sign in again.
I’ve done this song and dance at least five times. I’ve changed my number to my current one, I disabled 2FA, I’ve done everything in my power to make it so that it sends a code to my current number and it never does. I really don’t know what to do about it and I really don’t want to bang my head against it anymore.
…So yeah, no Amazon cards.
/stumbles in and grabs a large coffee mug
Thanks Renjiji! Orlyia is going to need all the support she can get today I think.
/add some blueberry muffins and cranberry orange muffins to the lounge snack table
I slept in a bit and woke up to a lovely frosty day outside. Thankfully I can stay right here with a cozy blanket in the lounge by the fire. Just doing chores and useful things today, maybe some gaming.
I need to make back all my gold in Palia that I spent building too many things. Heh
Off to the garden I go!
I need to get back into Palia at some point. I haven’t really played it too much, but I enjoyed it when I was playing. Been playing a LOT of Conan: Exiles lately.
It’s 27 here. And that ain’t Celsius. And a little dusting of snow so far. On the way to an inch or two.
And my neighbor, who does lawn care, is firing up his mowers and leaf blower. He’s going to freeze out there today.
You might think that, but 27 F is perfect snow removal weather! Snow stays light, you don’t overheat, you don’t need heavy clothes as long as you are moving.
You just need a good base layer, a wind layer, ear coverings, and a few pairs of gloves to change when they get wet. Oh, and good dry shoes/boots.
I overheat fast when shoveling in that kind of weather. I only did the full kid snow protection thing once…then came in and took all of it off. Put on my bottom layer, a light fleece top, and my rain/wind pants/shell with the pit zips. Seriously… I was way too hot! Even in a blizzard with winds up high.
Now I understand how people can freeze to death after outdoor exercise/work. Like climbing a mountain. If you wear too much you get soaking wet sweaty.
I prefer 77F. The snow is very moist and just flows right down into the storm drain system.

Use the middle pet battler in the holiday area to level.
Whoa! New glasses really let ya know how bad your old ones are.
Gonna take some time to adjust to these. Definitely not ordering my progressive lenses online any more. They cannot get anywhere near the clarity that ones from the eye doctor can.
I’m avoiding in wearing mine at the moment. I’ve been ending up with a lot of migraines recently from wearing them, which has been unusual, because they haven’t done that before, so I just at the moment avoid wearing them. It has made it hard with playing WoW as I can’t get the chat text any bigger.
I am home now. 7 weeks of hospital and rehab finished. Next week I’ll be starting the process to be fitted with a prosthetic.
Congrats on being home! I hope things continue to improve for you.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Glad to hear you’re out of hospital.
