[CS Lounge] Fall Festivities and Friends!

I’d like to try Palia, but no Mac support is a bit of a stumbling block for me :X

I have a cast iron skillet that can assist you with that.

I can’t guarantee you won’t wake up with a headache, but at least you’ll get some sleep in!

Hopped onto one of my priests, queued for a dungeon as a healer. Nope. No-no-noooo! Unqueue, switch to DPS (and DPS spec), get right into the dungeon, and … waitaminit… where are all my spells? The action bar was cleared. So I threw a few spells on there, and got back into fighting. It was Timewalking, so it wasn’t all that challenging (even with only a few spells), but I just had to fix things before I could get back into it.

It looks cool, but there just aren’t enough hours in the day. Between playing WoW, doing my OW dailies, and there is an event in DDO I am trying to work on plus my VR games…

I started playing Bellwright, and well, its been sort of interesting.

/attempts to try and slow down earth’s rotation.

I tried to make more hours in the day… It just wasn’t easy.

Understandable! If can you ever make time, let me know. :dracthyr_heart:

What’s DDO?

And even though I’m still in recovery mode and have time more than anything else, still spending a lot of my time between WoW, Warframe and War Thunder.

I’m…kinda regretting going down the USSR/Russia tree. I always found their tank designs interesting but boy howdy actually driving one is a test of patience.

The IS-1 I just acquired has a top speed of around 22 KMpH. On paved road. Heaven help you if you go up anything resembling uphill.

Dungeons and Dragons online. It’s a D&D MMO that was released in 2006. I’ve been playing it since release, among probably way too many other things. I tend to cycle through other MMOs and games, but the two MMOs I play consistently are WOW and DDO.

Ooooh! I played that! I was I think a sorcerer who had no idea what I was doing. D&D was completely foreign to me at the time.

I should pick it back up now that I have more of an understanding how to actually make a character.

I didn’t really get into D&D. And at the moment, finding it hard to even play WoW, for the same reason, just not getting as interested. Only reason I do still play and come to the forums because of all the wonderful people I’ve met, from the guild to those who frequent the forums.

Hm, maybe you could look into games like Baldur’s gate 3 and the like. I know not everyone may like the same thing in the same form, but there is other routes to go - may that be video games, books or event videos.

Want to play BG3, just don’t have the money to purchase it. Been playing a lot of Enshrouded, a friend gifted me to play Bellwright yesterday, and have been having fun with that, and then when I am taking a break from those games, I would be playing American/Euro Truck Sims, if not playing WoW.

I played D&D when I was in High School and college (though I made the switch to Warhammer FRP then). If we knew then what we knew now about party make-up, we wouldn’t have died quite so often.

I had that a bit during DF, and even more during Shadowlands.
I’ve just been grinding dungeons lately, leveling up alts. Takes a leisurely afternoon to go from 70-80. Once the Anniversary event is over, it’s back to storylines.

It’s funny, I never really got into tabletops, couldn’t find a group or really knew any of the rules. I think my first RPG was Phantasy Star 2? I remember renting it and the last person who had it had a save file right before the last boss.

I tried playing it through from the start and got bored. I only really got into RPGs once FF7 hit.

Think the only exception was Shining Force 2. I love that game, one of my top games ever made.

DDO was INSANELY good. It would have has way more players, but it had to compete with WoW at a time where most games could not. The AQ phase had just dropped the month prior. People were just getting AQ unlocked after doing the Scarab Lord event around the time DDO released.

I played a bit in my 20’s, but never really found a group. Now, new state, etc… that’s a little harder to come by. Maybe one day. That’s why I like the video game versions, it allows me to explore the genre. BG3 has been amazing - I need to get back into it and focus on one character so I can progress through the story. DDO is Free to play (though I have a sub), and it runs at a different pace than some of the other games I play. It’s a bit more solo friendly than it was in the beginning, though I do have a small group I get together with weekly.

Oh, the other stand alone Solasta. I played through that when it first came out. I think they have some DLC now, but I haven’t picked it up. That one was a lot of fun and definitely fills that D&D void.

I’m pretty positive that there are dozens amongst the various teams and likely not secret. When I worked out of Irvine there were several groups of GMs that got together, some played in the break room after hours.
