Other than the being sick, I’m afraid that’s going to be me tonight. I didn’t get much sleep Wednesday night, so I was dog-tired last night. I went to bed around midnight and didn’t wake up till about 1pm this afternoon. Laid there watching TV for another couple hours before I finally got up to get ready for work.

You’re telling me. 300lbs has made my sleep apnea worse. I need to get surgery for a problem that I was born with. Weight is only part of the problem.

/Sets up extra coffee table. Prepares vast vats of vibrant pungent elixir of coffee. Tea is - points - over there. This table needs all the coffee stat! Full breakfast of muffins, eggs, toast, bacon, fruit.
Sets out EXTRA plate of bacon with a sign on it saying “FOXES ONLY”. 
Seasonaly cold here finally! It was below freezing and we can expect that to continue at night for a few weeks. I might actually get enough winter spirit to decorate the house - IRL. I have to re-string the lights on one of my little trees though. Blah. All good. I can call it a project.

I’m having a slice of left-over pumpkin pie for breakfast because, why not! 
It’s been snowing the last few days. We have about 2.5 inches on the ground. It gives everything a festive feel. Unless you’re driving that is. Someone must have turned on the lake effect machine.

Mom’s been going nuts making cookies. Chocolate chip, Peppermint blossoms (think those cookies with chocolate kisses on top, but a sugar cookie and peppermint kiss), and soft molasses cookies. She was working on those yesterday and the house still smells fantastic. She’s prepping for the Christmas Parade next week - we have an evening parade that usually has a (smaller) inflatable from the Detroit parade, and then some fireworks. We host some family and friends after the parade for cookies and hot cider. We used to be able to watch the fireworks from the front window, but they moved them. Now we have to go out to the street to watch them.
We got a trace yesterday (just enough to cover the roads), but it either blew away or evaporated. But a bit more this morning. They’re saying some parts of the northern reaches of Michigan will see up to a foot.
If anyone wants to see what we Michiganders mean by Lake Effect snow, just watch a radar loop around the Great Lakes. It’s nuts this weekend (though I hear northern NY is getting clobbered, as they do every winter).

This sound divine! I love love love pie for breakfast. Pretty sure it beats any other pastry hands down. Esp fruit pies or pumpkin type pies. We had a work tradition between a few of us to bring in leftover pies for morning coffee 
Snow is fantastic, as long as I don’t have to drive in it. I have most of the winter good stocked up and should not have to go out more than a few times so it is free to snow all it wants here. Just so long as we don’t have the winter of 6+ feet again. We had two back to back snowstorms that each dropped 2 ft - one on Tuesday and one on Thursday. It was crazy and I had to shovel the deck roof between storms so it did not collapse. I am not tall - so the drifts and snow piles were well over my head. We had a few more storms that winter that were 10" at a time or more too. That was a wee bit much snow for me.
