[CS LOUNGE] Country roads, take me home

I ran out of reports in a single thread in General…

Happens to me daily. It’s a clear sign I should probably spend less time there.

Busted out my dad’s drill and made me a painting jig for my miniatures, using a scrap piece of wood and golf tees. Should make airbrushing a bit easier.

I guess it’s my turn for weather. We have a severe Tstorm watch and warning out. Non stop rumbles to the west. But the Grand Prix is in town on Belle Isle!:checkered_flag:
We are so soggy we don’t need this rain and hail. I am afraid what mosquitos are going to be like this year. B52 size I think.
My lightening tracker is up to 401 strikes.:grimacing:

One of my kitchen staff wanted to say thank you to all of us for work g as a team no matter how short or stressed we are. She cooked ribs, little smokies and meatballs with the rib glaze mixed I. The sauce, dirty rice with shrimp, cherry cheesecake.

I am absolutely stuffed. I fried some chicken, another person made some Mac n cheese. She wanted to include nursing staff that really helps us. One of them made. Macaroni salad and the other bought us a lot of soda to go with it.

Was a very good day.

Yep, we’re getting some nasty weather right now too. Warnings are in effect.

People around here trying to get from their cars to their houses:

Ahhh to live in an area where the electrical code has to account for things like this.

Homes are built with a surge protector out here. That way if there are issues it almost always happens before it gets inside the house.

Up to 484 lightening strikes. We have a new watch out til 11pm. Saw you guys talking about Chernobyl. I mentioned it to my husband and he watched the first one. He liked it and we binge watched all the rest of them. I remember when it happened. I remember Three Mile Island. Scary stuff.

Let us know how it is!

More Moonkin!

Hey! The thread didn’t end.

I don’t think that the 30’ish-day threshold has been set on this thread. It has to be done manually by one of our blues

In good news, my house didn’t land on any witches.

In bad news…I don’t have an amazing pair of ruby slippers to sell anyone.

We must have started late. May was a 31 day month.

But usually there’s a random-ish countdown at the bottom of the thread too  No such thing this time around.

I have croup.

It is uncomfortable at minimum and distressing to everyone else around me at worst.

/hugs
Hope you feel better soon!!

Hope it gets better soon. My wife has a nasty cough, though it sounds like it is getting better today.

Was a relatively decent day today. Every time I wanted to grt upset I thought of the raise. And it was better haha.

It was not a hard day by any means. Lunch took an hour to make and din ER took about 1 1/2 hours.

Now I am sitting waiting for kiddo to finish his ice cream. Put him to bed, and me to follow shortly.
