Powdered ice is better than branches thickly coated in ice coming down on power lines and houses!
I have never actually seen inches of hail. Sleet, yes, but not hail.

Makes a extra strong pot of tea and coffe for vrak or orlyia.
When I was in Missouri, we had a couple heavy hailstorms - enough to cover the ground, and pile up under drain spouts. But never inches.
We had to wait a bit before going out to breakfast this morning, since the city came to clear our street. So we’re slowly getting to normal. And the restaurant was pretty quiet today for some reason.
Pot roast in the oven! Seems good to make ahead of a week of potential snow storms. We MIGHT get something decent on Tues night, but the weather can’t make up its mind.
When I went to the forums on my phone, my portrait was dark, but then when I refreshed it wasn’t.
So weird! I did log into Perl today to let her know that I still adore her Maybe that’s what fixed it!
The family seems to be coming down with a bug I’m hoping to avoid it with all my energy! Please feel free to toss a couple of Remove Toxins this way!
Happy Sunday all. Oh, and you’re in the sports, I hope your team beats the other team today. I’m sure one of them will win.
While I was waiting for a LFR queue earlier, someone mentioned needing to make “Crack Bread.” So I looked it up:
1 crusty loaf , preferably sourdough or Vienna
1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese (or other melting cheese)Garlic Butter
100 g / 1 stick (8 tbsp) unsalted butter , softened
2 large garlic cloves , minced
3/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp fresh parsley , finely choppedInstructions
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F.
Combine butter, garlic and salt in a heatproof bowl and melt in the microwave. Stir through parsley.
Cut the bread on a diagonal into 2cm/1" diamonds but do not cut all the way through the bread.
Use your fingers or a knife to pry open each crack and drizzle in a teaspoon of butter and stuff in a pinch of cheese. This might sound like a bit of an effort, but I promise you it is worth it! You don’t need to be super neat, it’s nice to have some of the butter drizzled over the crust.
Brush surface with remaining butter.
Wrap with foil and bake for 20 minutes until the cheese has mostly melted, then unwrap and bake for 5 - 10 minutes more to make the bread nice and crusty.
Serve immediately. (See note 1 for best make ahead methods)Recipe Notes:
- Make Ahead - The best way to make ahead is to use softened butter instead of melted butter, mix with garlic, salt and parsley then smear into the cracks. Stuff with cheese, wrap and refrigerate or freeze. To cook, thaw then follow recipe instructions to bake.
To make ahead so that it just requires a brief 2 minute reheat in the microwave to serve, you must use a crusty sourdough loaf. Bake per recipe (including unwrapped stage), then wrap it up in foil and let it cool. Refrigerate up to 3 days, then to serve, just microwave for 1 1/2 - 2 minutes on high just to melt the cheese again. Because the crust gets so crusty in the oven, it stays crusty even when reheated in the microwave.- Bread type - The denser the bread, the better the pieces will hold together when pulled off. Sourdough works best!
Use already baked bread, not uncooked bread dough.
Hope you all having a good day!
Watching the Superbowl here this afternoon. Friend and I placed a bet together that Kansas City is going to win their 3rd straight Superbowl. If they win, It will make Superbowl history today.
They would be the 1st NFL team to win (3) Superbowls in a row.
Someone has declined the invite. You have been returned to the front of the queue.
Apparently, I’m now the only one queuing for dungeons at the moment.
I suppose that’s a sign that I shouldn’t be trying to level a DPS tonight.
In the 4 hours since I left work, I managed to forget it was the Super Bowl today, despite the fact that I spent the afternoon ringing up party stuff for people in Kansas City shirts.
Favorite shirt I saw today: “Go Taylor’s Boyfriend!”
It really is embarrassing to consider myself and be associated with gaming, sometimes… oi.
Playstation server issues for 24, 25 hours? A 500% compensation package and it’s like the end times are finally here with how much people are calling it unfair, ridiculous, greedy.
Not to mention the levels of self-awareness going down to single digits with demands for free games instead of renewal date extensions.
Sounds a lot like Blizzard forums whenever there is made a decision, difficulties, or even contributions to good causes.
Oh, yes, all gaming entertainment providers are included.
It’s genuinely embarrassing. Technology happens.
Ugh, it seems Monday is on an attack here…
First dealing with a headache, then storms roll in while out for a morning walk, getting all soaking wet by the time I get back home, then somehow, my water seems to be switched off, without realizing due to works in the area, and then finally, made myself a nice cup of coffee, just for one of my cats to push it right off the bench.
Ok so I’m cooking getting everything ready to make lasagna tonight. I kneel down to get the dish out of that little cubby under the oven. I let on rip just as my, bengal Kasi, walks behind me. My wife told me Kasi had hissed at my rear, crinkled her nose, and attempted to swat at said gas projectile before she fell over. That poor cat.
gasp
That is the worst thing ever! Worse than having wet socks from the rain. I do hope your day gets better though!
/Checks the lounge and sets up fresh coffee, hot water, cocoa, and opens the adult beverage bar. Sets some assorted bagels, cream cheese, fruit, and pastries out. Also puts out some fresh nachos and pizza for any watching/recovering from the sports game.
I have not looked so not sure the status right now. I have been playing a lot of D4 and made a pot roast before the storms on Tues/Wed. That should give me food for most of the week.
I love it.
today is the 9th anniversary of my father’s passing and getting that last minit serge of emothions that takes you all over the place
i will be fine but quite the day
