Palia! It is a very cozy little building, questing, farming, relationship game. Free to play on several platforms PC, Steam, and Switch. No ads or limits on gameplay. They do have a store for clothing cosmetics for real money. That is it though. Very relaxing and fun. Easy to pick up and put down. They don’t have forums, but they do have a very active Discord. Pretty sure a fair number of ex Blizzard folks were involved in making it.
Hope the effects don’t last too long and you are start feeling better soon.

Mornin’ folks.
It’s pretty cold out there - currently, it’s 5, with a wind chill of -5. At least the winds have dropped off. We’re going to have to dig out a bit though, as all that wind drifted the snow around.
Starts a fresh pot of coffee
COVID boosters almost always take me out for a day or so. Flu shots have, but fortunately not always. But I always consider the alternative - a week (or more) of feeling bleh? Nope.
/Grabs a cup of coffee and sets to work in the lounge. Fresh large vats of coffee are prepared and set out, hot water kettle set up for tea, cocoa pot is gently steaming. Sets out all the creamers, toppings, and add ins folks might want. Sets out some breakfast sandwich fixings and muffins.
Feel better soon! Good ol’ trio of rest, fluids and maybe some warm soup. Think you’re right about it being better in the long run.
Jeez. We dipped down to the 30s but nothing too bad. The storm is supposed to catch up to us next week. Be safe shoveling!
Also, good morning. Should be an uneventful day today. Expecting a call from new pharmacy about shipping my meds (Otherwise I’ll be calling them) and that’s about it.
Today will be a burg day when I’m off work.
Munches on a muffin.
Nothing to it. Took about five minutes of just sliding the shovel along the sidewalk. The snow was pretty light, but frozen, since it went from the low 30s to 5 overnight. And (at least around our house), there wasn’t all that much to dig - maybe a max of three or four inches on the lee side of the house.
We’re getting a new water softener put in today - the one we have is getting a little surly, and since the company stopped making them around thirty years ago, it might be due. I say it seems to be working fine, but we’ll see what difference a new one makes.
As much as i love the Canadian Health Care system, can i just say i am more then a little irritated with it right now?!
My son had to go to Edmonton for a scan for his thyroid which is about a 2.5hr drive from here (we gave ourselves 3 cuz it’s winter and hwy 16 can be meh sometimes lol) anyways we left Lloyd at 6am and made it in decent time to the U of A hospital only to be told the camera they use is broken and we will have to reschedule
No phone call no nothing to save us that drive! i even called the day before to confirm the appointment
Ugh!!
That is certainly frustrating! Any time my appointments get cancelled or moved they call me and sometimes also text. I have had many cancelled last minute due to medical emergencies the doc has to attend to, or personal emergencies. Hopefully you can send them a stern reminder
Glad you got home safe and hope nothing serious is going on with kiddo.
That stinks. I mean, stuff breaks all the time. But unless it broke five minutes ago, make a call. Even if you have the tech on-site.
But sounds like you and your son could use some therapy shopping or eating while you’re in Edmonton.
I know I’d be more than a bit irritated to make such a drive and be told that they suddenly had to cancel my appointment. Totally understand that things happen but I feel like ‘making sure the tech works’ should be among the first to mark off the checklist.
Barring severe health issues hoping you and your son find something to make the trip worthwhile!
I had a moment and called my new pharmacy, had the order placed, I just need to give them a full list of what I’m currently taking which I can do when I get off. I’ll for sure get my meds, although there’s now a co-pay associated with it.
That can be managed, though. Planning on working an extra hour each day since I feel I now have the strength for it, and I have up to 29 I can currently take. Not ready for full time but I’ll get there. Just another thing ironed out.
He has an overactive parathyroid which isn’t too serious but they want a good look at it to determine whether they want to remove it or just monitor it.
One good thing did come the wasted trip, we were able to hit up Costco and Taco Bell both of which Lloyd doesn’t have! Lol
We were able to reschedule to a different hospital in Edmonton for next week but means we will staying in a hotel cuz I’m not getting on the hwy at 3 or 4 am lol thankfully I work in the hotel industry so it’s not super expensive
Oooo I had a dog show in loydd last year and another in March this year. It’s on the sask side, but our hotel is on the Alberta side.
Do you remember which hotel?
Also avoid 90% of the hotels/motels on the sask side lol
It was the Hilton on the far west side of loydd before leaving town on the main highway. We are staying there again as it was a great experience for our dogs.
See a movie or do a escape room later.
