Ask the butcher to toss you a bone.
Oh I am getting 2 femur bones already for the fur missile haha. But yeah it the joke lol
My school is a very small private school that lives off of tuition, so if parents stop paying then I’m laid off. With the way things are going I might be out of a job till August, and my heart is very heavy today. I’m throwing my resume everywhere hoping something lands! Good vibes and prayers are really appreciated!
I never realized how fast your world can be turned upside down.
That’ll be my last update until something positive comes my way:) I BELIEVE IT!!
The cat has stopped questioning why I’m still here. He has transitioned to simply ignoring my presence.
Welcome to the world where your cat rules all.
Meow mon
I’m just impressed that there was a time, however short, when he wasn’t ignoring you. Unless he needed food, of course…
if you boil a funny bone, it becomes a laughing stock. like if you found this humerus.
quite a few places in my area have closed down or are limited hours of service. restaurants are doing take out only, tim hortons closed their dine-in area and likely are only doing drive-thru or take out.
city buses are allowing free rides, but passengers must use the back door to both board and disembark said bus. those who require the use of the ramp will be allowed to use the front entrance
how to negotiate with your cat:
- Give your cat whatever they want.
- End negotiation.
Got the call for the car. More than just a hose, at it was not a hose at all, but not the engine thank muh gooses. Thermostat housing is shot, and a few other things. About $500 when it is all said and done. It could have been a lot worse.
Pretty much the same scenario here. Take out only. Free bus rides. A lot of retail stores are closing. Auto plants shut down. We had our first death. A man in his 50’s.
My son still works at Target. He says they are all stressed out. They have to come in to work but it isn’t easy. Teenagers are flooding the store trying on bathing suits and hanging around Starbucks even though there are no tables. They are following the people cleaning and touching everything and laughing. People are yelling at them like it’s their fault some things are not in stock. The floor people have no control over that. I’m glad I retired from there.
I think I’m on the forums less when I’m at home working. More because I can game through my breaks instead of only having forums, comics, and news (avoided usually).
I was mostly thinking I’m okay because my job can be done from home, and my boss is always developing things I have to test. But I wasn’t thinking bigger picture. We have to be making money to pay employees and bills. Our customers (existing and potential) have to be making money to consider buying software or renewing service/getting the latest updates.
Three weeks (our order here is through 7 April right now) wouldn’t do us in, but that’s only us. There’s a massive ripple effect worldwide on the economy that we have no predict on.
And emotionally / mentally, my heart goes out to those less able to deal with this kind of stress. Having a form of OCD where they’ve had to learn methods to avoid repetitive hand-washing, and now everything everywhere says “Wash your hands, keep washing”. Having an anxiety disorder, and everyone around you is basically validating how anxious everything is.
for anyone who needs them. Hang in there.
My hands feel like sand paper. I’m afraid if I put them in my pockets they will stick there like Velcro.
Is it wrong when you have not eaten all day to make a box of Kraft Mac N Cheese (I don’t eat it often, but it just has this Nostalgic childhood feel to it for some reason) and absolutely demolish it. And not feel ashamed of that fact?
I see nothing at all wrong with that.
Sometimes you just need comfort food.
i know the feeling. i used to work in retail, and we used to get yelled at a lot, due to certain items not being in stock (I.E. iPod Touch, games, systems)
best thing i can do personally, is avoid social media honestly. sadly, the in-game chat channels are as bad as social media itself. .-.
i was never a fan of velcro really. feels like a giant ripoff.
i don’t typically eat packaged mac n cheese anymore, mostly cause i tend to make my own, but once in a blue moon, i’ll buy a box or a package, just for nostalgic sake and savor every bite.
which is exactly what i made tonight…speaking of which, it should be done just about now.
/runs off to get it
The first confirmed positive here had just arrived via an approximately 300-mile Greyhound bus ride, the second who tested positive worked at an elementary school. Our first death was a 54-year-old male (smoker with hypertension); he was an employee at one of the local hospitals.
Poo-tee-weet?
Dumb, but live your life, I guess.
But now it’s time to kick them out of the store.

Same with these people. It’s unfortunate that these people will probably run to social media and try to rally people to their cause by not giving the whole story. But you gotta stick up for your employees.
No unaccompanied minors on the premises. Any who do show will be escorted off the property by security or law enforcement.
Got my truck inspected today, when I went to get it registered, they was close til further notice. Luckily I discovered I could do it online and got it taken care of. The Green Machine is legal again
I agree. But law enforcement might be difficult. In my neck of the woods, police have stopped responding to minor things like noise complaints and loitering.
They’ve even said they will not process evictions. That’s not stopping landlords from sending letters telling people to pay their rent on time, even early.
