I went shopping last week to pick up some essentials and noticed my area was hit by a little shopping panic. My favorite moment while I was shopping was when this little old lady in a motorized chair exclaimed with delight because she found a plethora of lima beans, the very last kind of dried bean on the shelf and her favorite.
Stay safe everyone and remember to be good to each other.

Ugh, I have to go out again tomorrow. Unless my appointment gets canceled last minute. I better call in the morning and check. If I can’t go in, they better give me my medication refill.
I finished up season 1 of Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector on Hulu. Not a bad show, IMO. I hope there is a season 2.

They are all sitting on my DVR but I have not watched an episode yet. I will get to it eventually haha. That said, I still have part of Supergirl from last season sitting there, all of Billions sitting there, all of Westworld Season Two sitting there, Ash vs Evil Dead final season sitting there, last season of Billions, Homeland…I really need to watch this stuff instead of just letting it sit there huh?
Forgot about lincoln rhyme personaly i prefer the moody depress lincoln compared to the upbeat one.
Mine was when I was in the bread section and everything was gone and this older gentleman and I were looking for hot dog buns and to his delight he found the last pack and then offered them to me and I just said to him; “Sir you deserve that pack you found” and I continued to tell him that in my younger years I could remember us having nothing but slices of bread to fold around the hot dogs and that’s what I would do, He thanked me and I just felt good that there are still some good people in this world that would offer the last item even though he was the one who found it.

I got lucky and found that “Food Lion” here in my area had it on sale for .19 cents a pound and they had plenty so I bought 6 heads but the problem now is that I can’t find any corned beef anywhere nor Kielbasa sausage of any kind, Guess I will get out my encyclopedia of cooking books and see what else I can make out of them.
I just can’t believe how people are buying up all this stuff, I’ve been through probably 40 or so hurricanes in my lifetime but never saw anything like this.
You know something else I looked up on the CDC website and read something that you don’t hear much about and that’s were we have had over 10 million + cases of the flu this season so far and 28,000 + deaths from it.

It’s stupid easy to make, just takes a bit of time. This is how I make it.
Pickling Brine
- One bottle of McCormic Pickling Spices
- 2 cups of Kosher Salt
- 5 teaspoons of Pink Curing Salt (You can order this on Amazon)
- One 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
- 1 Gallon of Water
Just add everything to a seal-able container and stir well. Then you add a your brisket and put it in the fridge for about a week or two. Remember to shake the container about once a day.
After a week or two, remove the brisket and boil for about 3 hours in a large pot of water with a little of the same pickling spices to make corned beef or smoke it for pastrami.

Hey Darth.
I tried to change it but our fly-keeping friend locked my starting post
Downtown is a ghost town. We usually enjoy getting the city back when people leave for the holidays. All our bars, restaurants and hangouts are ours for the taking. This time, nothing is open and no one left town. Few people are about, mostly the homeless who are everywhere.
People will be going stir crazy soon. What to do? Capitalize upon the situation. What will happen after a lockdown of this nature… society will have a BOOM of covid19 babies come the new year! Buy the securities that own baby products.
Hey TT, how did the brine work with the ribs a few weeks ago?

I take grandma to pick up her settlement check today and to the bank. Then I need to call her car loan company with her here and get the pay off on her loan and we are done.
Then I come home and deep clean. My wife went crazy yesterday. Itnis only fair I return the favor today.

I feel ya, brother. dropped my car off with my mechanic Monday morning with a coolant leak and warped front rotors. Got a call 90 minutes later to say they found the leaking coolant line, $160 parts & labor, tops. Warped front rotors? Nope, it’s all four; another $650 P&L. Oh, and while they were looking at the rotors, they noticed both my lower ball joints were on their last legs… $850.
Gonna be a rough spring for sure, probably summer, as well.
A very good thing I called my psychiatrists office. Not only are all appointments now over the phone but they didn’t even have me down in their system as having an appointment. And the lady who answered my call accused me of not knowing what I was talking about at first and insisted that, yes, I was called and told.

Grandma’s stuff is done. U did NOT feel comfortable carryi g that much cash let me tell you. Even Fro. The bank to the car to another bank (so they don’t hold the check for 3 days). We at the butchers right now. We have been here for about an hour and probably another 30 minutes to an hour wait but she sticking our deep freeze.
In the meantime I called her loan holder for the car to get the payoff, used some very colorful language not allowed here only to find out 45 minutes later they can’t tell me the payoff. They have to mail it out. It has been a bloody day. And I have not eaten a daggon thing.
