[CS Lounge] Aik's Popcorn Party for all!

We finally got us some paper products. The Wally World my dad works at stocked early and employees just getting off were finally able to get some. My dad said one lady he works with was so happy to finally be able to buy baby wipes for her daughter to have for her baby that she almost cried. Her daughter couldn’t find any.

LOL, how long after a Shelter-in-Place order do I have to wait before the grocery store won’t be packed and the line take an hour … when the only thing I’m buying is a couple gallons of milk?

Played some Civ VI with my brother, sister-in-law, her friend, and then my other brother last night. I have fun when I’m doing it with friends, but trying to play solo I feel like I’m mostly spinning my wheels only to lose, because I just cannot finish everything before the end of the final age, and I lose even if I’m superior in most things.

 At one point you have an option to found a religion. From the symbols I picked one for Pisces (two fish) and named my religion … Fishy Business. I’m doing nothing to help that one spread.

You must have never shopped on Black Friday. :grinning:

Well this is nice Enjoy 100% bonus XP in World of Warcraft all month long.

:date: Effective Mar 20 - Apr 20

Nice play, Blizzard. Nice play. And thanks. ~hugs~

It’s Doom 2016 with a faster pase to combat, less room for errors and and a slightly more arcade feel.

This is far, far more exciting and appreciable than discounted/waived monthly fees, IMO.

No, it isn’t that. It is the fact they were counting people as they came in. I have a plus membership to get in early, and got in on the first wave. No issues, I planned on that. I didn’t go for TP, but as I was walking towards the back of the store near where it was an employee was telling people the there was none but there was some on the truck that was coming in at 10. This was repeated at least a dozen times. From multiple staff members. So I decided I would wait. I didn’t have anything better to do for that hour, so why not.

We were having a pretty good time until we were cleared from the back aisle so they could rearrange pallets. The people that had gotten there first wound up towards the back after the shuffle had happened, and we were rightfully upset. Then the line had to be adjusted again as people were in the row where the shipment would come down. Things are still civil, however though a lot of us are irritated.

Then as they bring in pallets upon pallets of paper towels, they announce no toilet paper is coming in. The line waiting for toilet paper stretched from the back of the store where people were packed in, down several aisles in a serpentine, and all the way to the front of the store. At least 50-70 of those people were standing there based solely on the words of employees stating there would be some at 10.

I am not upset at the employees, but the store manager and his team dropped the ball. Had this been day one, two, perhaps 3 I would be much more forgiving. They KNEW we were standing there. They knew WHY we were standing there. They knew what was on the truck and they allowed us to stand there. They had absolutely no system to manage the crowd, no line system, nothing. This is despite staff being asked at least 10 times before I stopped paying attention, staff calling out asking for help and answers to no availl.

That is why we were so upset. It was a failure on the Store Managers part, and I have called and lodged a complaint specifically against them for it. I am not upset at the staff doing their best to appease and handle a large crowd with no support. It was not their fault. But it was the leaderships fault. I have had this membership for 7 years. I will never step foot in that store again, the closest to my home. IF I keep my membership, and not cancel and go to Costco all the way across town, I will go to the store further away from me. I will not support a location that failed so bloody hard at something they had plenty of time to plan for.

Yes, it was worth the wait, and since I pre-ordered the game on time I also got the revisited version of Doom 64 for free.

I have a couple Allied Race toons that I was waiting until Shadowlands to level (since I’m pretty well sick of certain expansions). Guess I will bite the bullet and send them up.

I’ve been stalling on my Mag’har Orc as she is just about to hit WoD content and it’s my least favorite. This will get me going with her again.

While I have zero desire to make any more level 120s, I would like to finish getting all my Allied Races up to 110 so that they can get their Heritage Armors.

Perhaps this XP buff can help me get them all done.

Maybe they do it different but Target does not know what’s on the truck until they unload it. It’s all done at the distribution center. If they just said it was on the truck without knowing is really lame.

And I have some characters I can level.

I don’t work at Target, so I will happily defer if you work there. But I find it hard to believe this. SOMEONE knows what’s on that truck. There’s always a Bill of Lading, and I highly doubt Target just blindly ships things without using a computer system.

I can believe a store policy to not tell customers when something will arrive, especially these days. And I can believe a store associate not having access to what’s on the truck. But SOMEBODY knows…

sadly, this doesn’t convince me to log into Standard. i’m beginning to think nothing will honestly. ._.

i’m just gonna stick with Classic for the foreseeable future.

edit: i don’t mean any disrespect by this either, but i had a Paladin that went from lvl 10 to 40 in a few hours, just doing quests from Elwynn Forest, Westfall and into Redridge. i did a few dungeons in between, and sure i had heirlooms…but even i feel its a bit TOO easy to gain levels.

Classic is a slogfest, no doubt about it…but i feel like i overcame a massive obstacle whenever i gain a new level.

I worked there for 12.5 years. You scan outs and send it to the dc but you never know what is coming on the truck until you open the door and scan everything that comes off. You can get a ton of stuff you don’t need more often than the stuff you do.

That sounds like a very inefficient way of doing things.
