I could get between 10-20cms of snow tomorrow night…I’ll divide it between the two of you Kitten and Aehl

Might need to pack it with ice so it doesn’t melt before getting to you though!! LOL!

This could be me tomorrow night or Wednesday morning:

Man I could only imagine. I have bad feet. I walk on the inside of my heels and have high arches. I don’t remember a time they did not hurt.

But I cannot even begin to imagine that.

Worst I can say is my right heel is in constant pain for about the last 2 months or so. Right on the inside where I step. And it likes to cramp. But nothing like you describe.

Perl is it possible to like a pic more than once haha. I imagine up your way. And Msbecky as well snowblower are not just a norm but a necessity. Teug too, for that matter.

On my street, I’d say that maybe 1 in 10 homes has a snow blower…maybe fewer even.

For me, it’s a necessity. I’m on a corner lot, so when you get to the bottom of the driveway, my drive almost meets the neighbor’s. So there’s nowhere to pile snow. I literally have to make a path to the bottom of the driveway and then blow the snow up towards the house, but more-so in between my house and the neighbors’ places.

Once the plow goes by, I tend to clear the drift from the bottom of my place and my neighbors. There are a few elderly near me who I try to help clear their whole driveway too. Happy neighbors = happy neighborhood.

About 4 years ago, we got a really good snow for this area. We were renting at the time, and there was an elderly gentleman across the street. My son thought it was fun to shovel the snow. He went and knocked on the guys door and asked him if he could shovel his driveway. He could tell the guy was thinking my son was trying to make money, so my son told him you always wave to us when you see us. I just want to do something nice in return for you. The guy was really happy. I am not sure if he was as happy as I was proud of my son though.

Now he teaches at his karate and parkour school. Only student instructor, and there has not been one in over a year.

I truly believe that being kind is a skill passed down by parents. It sounds like you’ve taught your son well

I hope my kids will grow to understand how important it is to help others out too, without the thought or need of being reimbursed. Just helping out because it’s the right thing to do.

My children used to walk up to firemen, military personnel in uniform, police, etc. and tell them that they were the real Superhero’s. You have no idea how warm that makes you feel inside when they do that. Well judging from what I gleam of you, and a lot of you that post here, actually you do.

Same here Aryalanthu. =/

I hope you have a great time at the Halo event!

I live in Texas. The most that we’ve gotten so far is a wee bit of hail-like snow or snow-like hail.

We’ll get temperatures like that come summer though!

Just go to Maui, Hawaii and get some; Oddly they got snow in some of the lower elevations. Weird weather going on this winter season.

Whelp, managed to grab about 2 hours of pure uninterrupted sleep. For me and the couch, well technically floor which is where I was able to hold a position my shoulder finally stopped yelling, that is an accomplishment.

My wife took yesterday and today off as vacation days long before my pain. I already called in for today yesterday. This means she gets the bed tj rest. Uninterrupted. She deserves it, not me moaning and constantly fumbling and moving to relieve pain.

Somehow I feel pretty refreshed. I will stay up for a bit, watch some TV, get youngest off to school, some more Aleve for inflammation in me and probably pass out sitting up while trying to watch TV haha.

In the meantime may I be the first to welcome you all to maintenence day.

They say time heals all wounds but dang if I don’t feel every single thing I’ve injured over the course of my life now; Even injuries that happened 30+ years ago have become early weather detectors, LOL!

Hope that your pain eases off soon, Prayers for you!

I appreciate it everyone.

I have discovered I can lift my arm if I bend my elbow at a 90 degree angle now, so that is progress. I will set up the PT when they call to arrange it of course. I want to address the root cause, because I am not certain I can do this again. If this had happened on a Friday, calling in on Saturday or Sunday for it would not really have been an option, and I am not entirely certain I could have functioned a double shift on so little sleep haha. If it is still really bad Thursday I will insist on a shot, but I am confident it will not go that far. Pain, yes. But I can tolerate pain. To an extent

Well, today is another ice storm. So far the power is still on. I hope it stays on. Ice is real heavy on power lines and trees. My neighborhood has all the lines underground, but it still has to get to us. This has been one messy winter.:scream:

Yeah, our schools are closed today due to the weather and it’s only supposed to get worse.

Kids are happy though!

Same here. Schools closed. Good thing I did my weekly food shopping yesterday. I do not like driving on ice.
