Blake has adjusted very well, and sheās now on my lease. Sheās also learned how warm and comfy it is on my bed, so sheāll come and join me while Iām gaming. She still needs some socializing, though, as sheās still pretty skittish with other people.
You must be a Keyblade wielder!
Half my chin is numb. (Dental work. Crown prep on one side today, crown install and prep for crown on other side in a couple weeks. So far, coming up on 50, Iāve still got all but the wisdom teeth, but it certainly takes more effort now to keep up.)
Stopped by bank branch and got card for mortgage consultant and left number to be called back. Doing this with my brother will be interesting, as heās the one with the higher income and the down payment, but Iām the one comfortable dealing with people and making/receiving phone calls. He has pretty bad anxiety to do with things like phones, and online appt making is his savior at times.
I had to look that up.
Wasnāt familiar with Kingdom Hearts, was sure you werenāt referring to the KH-3 CORONA photo reconnaissance satellite.
Once upon a time, long long ago, I worked on the KH-8 Gambit and KH-9 Hexagon, CORONA was before my time.
I looked at that KH3 and just figured it was something Iām too old to know about and moved on.
Reminding me of:
Sooooo cooooooold!
Me getting the kids ready for school today (and tomorrow is supposed to be colder):
Just got a fire going in the wood stove, temp is going down to -2 tonight andā¦
āWindās owlinā today!ā
Start to get cabin fever around this time of year, look forward to spring and having the doors and windows open again. Just booked a vacation to Disney World in March, that will be a nice break from the cold. Had to use up the rest of my banked vacation points before they expired.
Was -27Ā°F (~-33Ā°C) last night, with wind chills exceeding -50Ā° (-46Ā°C). Itās āonlyā -19Ā°F (-28Ā°C) currently, but the wind is worse so, the āfeels likeā temp is about the same.
An hour before closing last night, my other delivery driver decided it was finally too cold to continue, which left me to make the remaining deliveries. Franchise management (finally) made the decision to close their stores at 9pm tonight.
On the bright side, it should be just warm enough to wash the car when I go back to work Friday afternoon.
Have any of you had dreams about Warcraft? I had a vivid dream last night that I was actually in the game sorta like a virtual reality thing; There was a group of us of about 25 or so fighting this dragon; The dream was so real I woke up sweating.
You know it could be possible in the near future (A couple years or so) that Blizzard could make certain dungeons in virtual reality; How cool would that be?
Is it possible?
Not that I remember. However, in terms of VRMORPG, my brother has me watching Sword Art Online - and itās weird seeing this fictional idea of what an MMORPG would be like and knowing what the reality is more likely to be.
Plus, he has a VR headset and Iāve played some of the games. Right now itās interesting, but nowhere near a visual resolution and much less so any ability to āmoveā without requiring physical movement in the real world or tricksy ways like using grapples to pull based on hand controllers - not quite conducive to fighting a dragon in WOW. =P
Yes, Iāve dreamed of WoW. Half first-person āI am the characterā and half third-person controlling like the game actually is.
/peeks in
/steals more coffee
Everyoneās a keyblade wielder ā¦ According to lore, at least. I think. Maybe? /brain asplodes
/goes back to KH3
Side note: Hubs has two vehicles to get to work with. I accidentally killed one battery while he was underway at the end of the fall - didnāt start the bike very often. The cold (and comparatively right now - itās not that cold!) killed the battery in his car. Sooo he had to take my car in to work.
He was getting ready to freak out before he left 'cause he had to find a way to get one of his two vehicles working. Until I told him to stop being an idiot and take my car.
Oh no! He has to drive the āMomā car!
Pfff ā¦
He picked out the āmomā car without my input! Itās the same car heās been driving for the last ~10 years!
I just have to go to the store today, and heās working late.
See. He knew heād be driving it at some point.
Sounds like somebody needs tk stop by the store on the way home to me.
Lightning!
Thatās what it was yesterday morning when I got up. I decided to stay home from work.
Weāve got our lake to keep us warm, it was a balmy -3Ā°F, although the lake does like to dump snow on us so far Buffalo to our West and Watertown to the East have gotten most of that.
Thank goodness we use Fahrenheit, -3Ā° is plenty cold enough it would have been too cold at -19Ā°C and much too hot at almost 254Ā°K.
