[CS Lounge] A New Year! 20-Years of WoW!

The Percy Jackson series is a good show, me and my Dad are watching it along with Reacher on Fridays for our Movie Nights.

Totally forgot I ordered another 3d printer over the holidays. Was putting up Christmas stuff and found it.

Got the last Rumble mini and upgraded them all to gold. With the last mini I got the cheese for 300 toys. Surprised to see that the award was a mount and not another toy.

I even have a spare foil.

I remember that, too. It was half-hearted at best while I was learning it. And all the travel distances were given in miles and kilometers for a while.

Once I get up to about a half cup or so, dry ingredients switch to grams.

Good morning and I hope everyone in the path of the storm is ok today! We have power out in many areas, flooded roads, trees down, schools closed. BUT nobody hurt that I know of and my house is fine. Sibling ok. Parents currently getting hit up North but so far so good.

Warm beverage wishes to all!

I lost power here around 7p and was out until nearly 1a, but thankfully temps were touching 60 so it wasn’t an issue keeping warm.

I haven’t gone out to case out the house for any siding or roofing yet, but no trees down in the backyard or anything. My mum said a neighbor’s tree came down and grazed their shed, and my aunt’s grill was destroyed somehow - but if that’s worst of it, I’ll take it. That wind was gnarly.

Right? I’ve loved all of the choices so far and the overall series.

Hey now mister, just cause we live an hour apart don’t mean you can trade me. But I am a green glowing teddy bear. Who wouldn’t want that.

Ugh someone has a very questioanable name.

Removed the specific reference, so we’re not pointing at any particular instance.

Generally speaking, if a name is neutral/positive, it tends to be allowed. Unless we can point to specifics in which the user is actively using it negatively.

Fair enough just seems controversial like other names.

Temperature prediction where I am has gotten even colder! Apparently my project for the next few days is to try to figure out where I stored my long underwear pants. I couldn’t find them last year but there was really only one day I could have worn them. We might have lows down to -6 (-20c)! With wind! I think the coldest it’s ever been where I was was -10 without much wind, and I didn’t have to go outside until a few hours later. This time, it’s expected to be that cold when I leave for work on Monday.

I am not sure where my long underwear are either, but I do have fleece lined leggings which should serve the same purpose! Thank you for reminding me to double check any of the cold weather prep. It has been super mild here so I am sure I have some things to do still.

It will be a good time to have something simmering on the stove I think!

I am pretty sure my cats did not take the long underwear.

They are far more likely to take hair ties, knock pens to the floor, or sit on my computer mouse. Their idea of dealing with cold is to be on top of me as often as possible. I have furry heated weighted blankets.

I kind of want to make soup, but I have a pork tenderloin that needs to be cooked, so I guess I’m roasting tomorrow night instead of simmering. It’s way less prep time too, leaving more time to hunt for winter clothes. (My cooking method is place on pan, sometimes brush with olive oil, add salt & pepper and maybe garlic powder or whatever else is in the cupboard that sounds good, put in oven.)

YESSS! That is what I usually do with pork roasts. Sometimes some cut potatoes, onions, or even apples around it in the pan to roast. Less work for me. I am still planning on doing that, and just using some of the leftovers to throw into a soup/stew pot later. It can be hard to eat a whole roast by myself so plans for leftovers to be used up are always important to me.

I only have dried beans so I can always soak and then simmer a pot of those up w/ onions, garlic, seasonings. They don’t take much prep or attention.

So, I get to do BOTH! Probably pork roast with roasted veg then use the leftovers for a pork, green chili, and white bean stew. Might have to make cornbread to go with that.

You could always make soup with the pork tenderloin. Put broth in crockpot, put seasoning, put tenderloin, put water as needed, put veggies and taters, turn on the crock pot, and it will be ready by tomorrow.
