Personally I haven’t been faced with any toxicity from them first hand, but they do support toxic players that I won’t name.
The group itself may be fine, maybe the leaders are okay too, but some members are toxic. There are a few things they do though as a community which could be considered toxic though, such as queueing into Alterac Valley as a full premade stomping pugs. That could be seen by some as toxic behavior, I personally don’t experience any of this first hand though.
There is someone I’m friends with who used to be apart of Cryptids League and often tells me how she has experienced the toxicity first hand, I can’t confirm if any of that is actually true but she’s an Alliance main which gives some credibility. She wouldn’t all of a sudden go Horde for no reason. I guess until I experience it myself can I actually say if it’s toxic or not.
The group has over 1000 people in it. Obviously whenever you get a community that large there are going to be a few toxic people in it. But to damn the community as a whole is really disingenuous.
I will say we get a LOT of toxicity thrown at us from Horde groups. The two worst I wont name but they are ED based. Do I think ALL Horde are bad because of this? Obviously not, but to say there aren’t bad apples within your communities is equally disingenuous.
I’m defending Crypts and Z cause I’ve never experienced or seen any toxicity from either. I’ll concede that Crytpids names is very apt (ie I can’t really say I know him that well but so far haven’t experienced anything negative), but Z is legitimately one of the nicest people in game. We call her Raid Mom.
PS. Clever ploy throwing Aspect of Kimbal on me yesterday. Or whatever that giant tiger thing that repeatedly hit me for over 100k was.
lol. Way to deflect with a horde has toxicity too. Yeah, it does. Dumb dumb. But when you’re going to make a point like that. Then why if they are so nice and kind and whatever else, do they just sit there and let all the toxicity continue on? Doing nothing about it can be just as bad. Turning a blind eye. If you don’t want your name associated with toxicity, then do something about it.
There’s a couple of points to discuss about this though. If someone wants to promote their community as a friendly environment for Alliance and challenge Horde groups in friendly, fun competition, they have to get rid of toxicity where ever they see it.
In some Horde communities, we know who to help and who not to help based on whether or not they’re a toxic individual. Usually, when they are, we won’t help them. Cryptids will help any Alliance, even if they’re toxic, which in turn promotes it because they aren’t doing anything about it. They continue to help those players.
:3c He’s a hungry boi, what can I say? He likes to hunt Alliance.
Lol what gave you that idea? We’re rivals. When Cryptids leads, he doesn’t even give me time to summon people before charging in (2-3 times now have I been attacked by them while in the middle of summoning).
Well, I’m not one of the community leaders, but from what I understand they do do their best to keep toxicity to a minimum. Could they do a better job? Maybe. But I really can not stress enough just how supportive and non-toxic most the members, at least the ones that seem to be more active, really are toward each other.
I will admit that we will pretty much help any Alliance that comes to us asking for help.
And this is the main problem that should look to be changed if you wish to keep your community in a good light, with good reputation. I have no ill feelings towards Cryptids League for WPvPing, it’s just a game, but goods sportsmanship should be promoted.
When supporting players who are toxic to others, you make your whole community look bad, even if you aren’t toxic yourself. Don’t be surprised when players come onto the forums saying it’s a toxic community when you have no intention of fixing things.
Well, I guess in that case I’d like to know who you consider toxic and what they do that you consider toxic. I understand if you don’t really want to give specifics on the forums though. I wouldn’t either.
I’d give you my bnet info, but I also don’t want that posted on the forums. I would like to talk further though. If you’re cool with it I’ll make a toon on your server and give you my info and we can continue from there.
No, not specifically. I’ve seen the whole spectrum of AV games over the years. The infamous vanilla games that lasted for days, as well as games that are the zerg rush to the end.
Just sharing my observations of a CL led AV, in a thread about that very topic.
