You did this to skyfury and then allowed free transfers off it.
Within 6 months it was a dead server.

I just requested a refund. Regardless of your personal situation, the fact that Blizzard can get away with charging their player base pay $20/month for a 20yo game is quite the achievement. Good for them, its a great game. However, as a public company of that size, the least they can do is to ensure their technology allows all players to play with their friends. This is what WoW is all about, it should be their top priority. People come back to the game to play with their friends. If Blizzard decides to lock a certain server, they should allow free transfers - or any other solution. If you ask me, with the tech available in 2023, this shouldn’t even be on the table. Locking servers with no alternative proposed to the player base just shows you why there’s a growing rift between the community and the company. I can’t play with my friends because I missed the first day due to work and family obligations. I’m flabbergasted.
They should not let anyone leave. If horde leaves it becomes a 90/10 server. If alliance leaves CB becomes one. Keep CS as a streamer containment server. It’s only been two days those who want to leave can rerill
It’s easy for everyone to crap on Blizz. Not gonna deny that. But that’s low hanging fruit. We can acknowledge what they are doing right and how well they have pivoted with some of the issues that presented itself when the servers went live.
They predicted it was going to be busy and made 3x as many servers than Hardcore servers. They just didn’t imagine how full the server like Crusader Strike was going to be and had to adjust accordingly.
Don’t act as if you’ve never been wrong or had to adjust to make something work. Now that I have typed that out, perhaps that explains something.
It’s a pvp server and you can only play one faction on this type of server. Hence to reroll faction you have to delete all of your current characters
You’re all the same people that would complain when the server turned faction dominent, am i right?
They warned you in advance how this would work. They then spun off a new rp-pvp server for you…within hours.
Your ‘friends’ could have re-rolled then.
I’m realizing now the real end game of many in this thread is to…just…complain…
is it horde dominated?
Seems to be balanced so far, but the initial opening of the server had alliance locked a few times. So maybe slightly Alliance leaning.
Your friends won’t reroll to get off a crap server and play with you? Real nice friends there …
No, when it’s 20+ members who do make it into CS and get their names and start leveling, kind of expected they wouldn’t all reroll for the unlucky few. Just sucks.
I won’t ask my multiple friends whom did nothing wrong… to “restart their collective fun” for me a lone individual that ‘missed out’… it’s a childish selfish expectation…
No, it’s Alliance heavy so we need more Horde to balance it out.
Any idea when they will unlock it for making a Horde character?
Didn’t literally every streamer decide to go Crusader Strike? At least there’s a quarantine, lmao.
They did it to troll the RP-PVP community. Thankfully Blizzard launched another server within hours.
Guess you aren’t that important then. Time to make new friends.
I was extremely disappointed to see Xaryu, someone I enjoy watching otherwise, find it funny that Asmon was saying he was going on RPPvP just to spite everyone who didn’t want him there.
bruh, you’re selfish if you request your entire group of friend to essentially start from nothing just to include you when it’s not their fault for Blizz’ actions.
It’s just that’s it, the season is ruined on the first week end. Sure it may unlock later on but you’re always to going to be the guy behind.
At the end of the day it’s just a video game, I’m going to go play something else alone I guess, it’s just disappointing.
I don’t see anything wrong with streamers flooding the servers. I personally believe that spreading out your playerbase on separate realms has a deleterious effect on their populations overtime. As hype dies down and the popularity peaks and valleys between phases. The more spread out the worse off we are. Layering up these servers and letting as many people pack onto it at once is the better alternative then locking it. So then you can layer it to manageable levels during launches and reduce layers during valleys and theres still a considerable stock of players to play with. I wouldn’t consider rolling on a server with less then a high-full population for just this reason. If its Medium or Low now then whats it going to be like between phases.
Streamers are allowed to play on whatever server they want to just like you. Why should they be excluded from that? RP servers generally seem to thrive on their communities and having an extra large one doesn’t do it any harm. Just opens up possibilities and ensure people are gonna wanna play on that server and keeps things centralized. Don’t be mad at Asmon or Streamers. Be mad at Blizzard for lacking the foresight and common sense to recognize these issues. They know how bad its going to be and didn’t do anything to lessen the impact. Just tried to mitigate.
Having realms is pretty BS imo aside from just splitting them as 1 PVP, 1 RPPVP, 1 PVE and 1 RPPVE. I know it was a technology problem in the past and a way of dividing information across many servers but this problem should have been overcome by this point.
I’m not telling you to ask them, they’d volunteer if they were close friends is what I’m saying. The server was immediately known to have issues due to streamers and they knew you weren’t able to log in and join them. The new server was up within hours as well.
Like I said, guess you’ll need to make new friends.
