When the streamers log off maybe.
When I played yesterday and some through the night and the servers were never locked that I saw or any announcement. The major frustration comes with the “temporary” which means absolutely nothing, just whenever blizzard feels like unlocking it again.
Faerlina/Benediction were temporarily locked when wrath launched that lasted almost 6months.

It’s truly unfortunate that Blizzard doesn’t take into account everyone’s work/school schedule before implementing server population control measures.
You should have messaged Aggrend to change the SoD release date to fit your schedule.

Every streamer simp saying it was a none issue and there was no reason to add another server. >_>; yet here we are.
It’s not an issue, anyone complaining just needs to re-roll on chaos bolt. It’s literally that simple.

Yes, but when Blizz said they weren’t going to add another server and everyone was raising their concerns it was an issue.
Imagine if we listened to things like “it’s not an issue”. Then there may not have been a Chaos Bolt.
We don’t know if they had it in their pocket ready to go or if everyone pushing back against the dev’s post convinced them to add the server.
I would assume that they didn’t plan on adding another server and did so after the push back.
I’m in New York and I get 80ish ping.
Perfectly playable.

I’m East Coast and it’s lower than that.
Was so hyped for SoD but my entire “megarealms only” experience has been standing on mob spawn spots for 15 mins per quest in random parties with 4 other people who warp and rubberband around the screen.
I think you devs had a good idea here but the multi billion dollar company which employees you lacks the technology to carry out your vision.
I hope they learn from that. I get the reason for no BETA, but it was weird to withhold names like that.

Refusing to enforce RP rules on RP-PVP realms just makes them PVP realms. A better answer would be to enforce your own rules too.

Well at least we know that our Ally team should be able to handle Horde on Crusader Strike… Right???
If Alliance needs more horde to unlock, then temporarily restricting it will definitely slow that down.
