Just because you CAN do a thing, doesn’t mean you SHOULD do a thing. Yes, you use AP, but that weapon is much better (even temporarily) than most for a rogue. You shouldn’t have NEEDED that weapon… for a hunter, that’s more of a WANT thing.
Have you read anything I’ve posted? I go by the same etiquette you do. I’ve said it in pretty much every one of my posts, because for some reason people insist on misunderstanding that.
The sword rogue is hard to come by part was what alerted me to the fact that this was a troll post. Still fun though.

If you’re using RS in your rotation then you want a slow 2h weapon, not pair of swords.
Yep. Agreed. I’ve mentioned that above quite a few times too. I’m just trying to fight back against the ‘only bad hunters melee’ narrative that is dominant in this thread. Only bad hunters don’t melee, and I’m not a fan of misinformation coming from people who’ve never even played the class.

If not though, I would probably not take him to groups either. I mean, it sounds like people patiently explained to him why he shouldn’t have needed, why it’s of much larger importance to the rogue than it is to the hunter, and the hunter still says “I disagree!”
There’s only so much you can do there…

its a minor upgrade for you, but would have been a massive one for the rogue
a good hunter should rarely melee while leveling. your best argument would be to say you did it for pvp
this would definitely be grounds to not run with you again
