Nice thing about vanilla type server communities… If the community looks down on hunters (or any class) doing that kind of thing… They will eventually be blacklisted by most folks. which means they will have a very hard time finding groups for anything.

That still offers no AP which is still worse. Most of the time Hunters are not going to use RS.
I played in Vanilla. This will always be an issue. I’ve seen just as many rogues and warriors roll on guns and bows saying it’s an upgrade there for they can roll need.
Tough one but with cruel barb it would of been a better upgrade for the rogue as there are better start sticks at that level for a hunter

You’re missing the point. CB is a very weak upgrade for hunters especially in comparison to what CB does for a rogue.
Hunters are gaining >1 weapon dps from CB. Most of hunter damage is from static pet damage.

The way I see it, if it’s an upgrade then roll need. Its as simple as that. If you want to be nice and let someone have an item because they get a little more value out of it, that’s up to you. You did nothing wrong.

Not really, you seem to be underestimating how good it is. Add a second and it will last the hunter just as long. Can you imagine being a Class where if you get loot you need, you are called a ninja?

I’ve actually given you numbers on how it’s not that good. You’ve given nothing but feeling so far. Maybe you are overestimating it’s strength for hunters? Maybe you don’t “need” it?

to a rogue it is so much more.

Definitely should not have rolled need against a rogue who needed, just as Hunters should get priority on ranged weapons over melee. It’s simple.

Would you be ok if a bow or gun dropped and a Warrior or Rogue rolled need on it because it gave them 2 attack power? I would find it hard to believe.
