It’s the same logic as Blackcrow/Carapace at endgame. It’s prebis for Warriors, Rogues, and Hunters, but it’s literally just a stat stick for Rogues and Warriors. I don’t want a Rogue or Hunter rolling against me for it. It’s also why I won’t roll against them for HoJ or Dal’rend’s.
Once the average gold on the server raises, it’s not going to be cheap at all. It’s also entirely reliant on someone having one to sell.
Yeah this has always been a warrior/rogue thing. They are the only classes that feel more important than everyone else, to the point they get to tell people not to roll on their BIS because it’s almost kinda BIS for them too.
Gotta love seeing forum circlejerkers spreading misinformation. TIL warlocks don’t cast dots and only wand. Apparently CoA+Corruption+Immolate only does 10% of a mob’s health. Warlocks must be even weaker than I thought.
Provided im rich and have spare money.
It’s like 5 tin nodes. Significantly less effort than actually running a dungeon.

Depends on your server. Also requires it to be for sail for 1.5g on your server
No intelligent hunter is saying that. The point of hunter melee weapons is the stats on them. The melee weapon slot has significantly more stats than any other equipment slot.

Good to know hunters cant even agree with each other. They call you an idiot too. Who do i trust? Oh easy. Just dont trust hunters. Easy.
Except a hunters still going to get less from a cruel barb then a melee will. By a long shot.
Despite your fondest wishes that ALLIANCE rogues should just fork out hordes of money because hunters cant be considerate.
PvP.
In that case hunters wont care when i roll on there bows right? Oh wait. They get upset about that. How is one fair and the other not?
How lucky for rogues then that there’s an easily obtainable, cheap BOE they can get
requires you to either be rich (despite your fondest wish), farm an area 8 levels above your own and be incredibly lucky.
Actually already ran into something like this when it comes to warrior entitlement and how little they care about other classes.
Doing SM Armoury, halfway through after we’d gotten there, spent time clearing, etc… Tank says ravager is on reserve for him. Before boss pull- he puts it on ML without letting people know, not because he wants to be ML, but solely to ninja the ravager. It doesn’t drop- however, on the mob that spawns after, a nice int/stam ring drops, and the healer only has one ring.
Healer asks for it to be looted to him, but tank already hearthed to repair.
And this is a terrible person. This isnt a rogue or warrior or mage or shaman issue.
This is just a jerk being a jerk.
If i had special loot rules (items on reserve, etc) they were posted as people joined.
I never took a bow from a hunter on my melee. I never took a melee weapon from a melee on a hunter.
Maybe you’re the exception- I don’t know, I’ve never played with you. But from my experience, you are the exception. I played a hunter and rogue to 60 in Vanilla. Warriors and rogues constantly rolled on ranged weapons, and I was even told many times to pass on ranged weapons as a hunter if they had stats that the warrior or rogue wanted.
From what I’ve seen, things are even worse now as warriors are starting to treat staves like their weapon too- something even in Vanilla I didn’t see them do- and rogues are rolling on hypnotic blade- just look up a few posts in this very thread and there’s a guy arguing the hypnotic blade is BETTER for rogues than for casters.
I would definitely wait and see if the melee players needed a melee weapon before I rolled on it…it’s their main source of damage; for me it’s just a stat stick 99% of the time. It’s the same as a warrior rolling on a good bow. How’d you feel about that if you needed it?
I can tell yiu that every guild and group i was in except 1 was ran this way for 3 straight expansions.
The one group this wasnt true of, had bigger issues and fell apart.
You don’t get the point. Melee classes like warrior and rogues get top priority of melee weapons. If a weapon drops and they need it, they get priority over a hunter. A hunter is not in melee range 90% or the time. Melee classes like rogue and warrior are in melee range 99.9% of the time. At this point you are just being stubborn. If a weapon drops and it’s a upgrade for a melee class they should get it first before a hunter. Much bigger dps increase for them.
I tank and tend to form my own groups, and for this exact reason I’m often sketched about inviting hunters into my groups. I’m sure they’re not all like this, but you shouldn’t be taking a melee weapon from a melee class.
I wouldn’t take a gun/bow from you. Even if it was an upgrade.
