What are their best options at 19? And why is Cruel Barb listed as one of the better twink items?
It’s inferior to Shadowfang at the same ilvl. And only marginally better than an easily obtainable world drop in Skeletal Club. And there are better options available just a few levels after, not 10. Whereas for hunters, it’s BIS until Razorfen Kraul drops.
That they’re greedy and entitled. It’s what they are. Again - you can do it if you want. But it absolutely isn’t fair game in terms of working together.
Shadowfang is a BoE blue, are you really comparing that to a boss drop? One is absolutely not obtainable or even farmable for a level 19~ Rogue with no gold to funnel to it, the other is something they can farm. As is the Skeletal Club, too - it’s not a boss drop.
What other better items are there just a few levels later?

Go ahead. Whats better? Shadowfang? Good luck getting that. When people talk about stuff like this its based on reasonably obtainability. Unless you get incredibly lucky or are super rich you arent seeing shadowfang.
The options alliance side are this or shadowfang. You brought up the butcher. Requires level 26, either insane luck or rich again.
It’s greedy and entitled to put the same weight on a really good item that’s good for you - but not as good for someone else, and to be surprised when people react poorly to it. I’d react pretty poorly to someone taking Blackcrow from me for just the 1% hit.
If the OP had communicated and the Rogue said to go for it, or if there was already an understanding in place that the Hunter wants Cruel Barb, fine. But they just rolled out of the blue for it.

Literally any of the weapons with significantly higher weapon DPS than this one.
This weapon is primarily desired by twinks because it can be equipped at level 19. But there are plenty of weapons available 2-3 levels later that are better.
So what at level 19 is better for hunters than a cruel barb?

Short story…
yes as hunter you benefit from the agility on the sword, but that is it, its a trinket, a stat bonus for you…
for a rogue/warrior, its a vital piece for their ability to progress… vice versa, if its been a bow/gun etc, no one should roll against you, even if rogues and warriors can use the stats… for them its just a trinket, or stats…

I dont roll on ranged weapons over hunters. Thats called being considerate and smart.

Any 2h that swings harder, because if you aren’t braindead you aren’t going to afk-autoshot everything to death.
If you don’t have two stat sticks, Piercing Axe - a green quest reward - is better.
Why don’t BOEs count? Because it doesn’t suit your argument?
There’s a BOE on my AH right now that’s only slightly worse than cruel barb selling for the princely sum of 1.5 gold.

Except that’s wrong- I have never seen a warrior/rogue pass on a ranged weapon with stats that’s better for them. Actually, as a hunter I’ve been told not to roll need on ranged weapons with stats that warriors/rogues desire, so it’s the opposite of what you are saying.
I don’t know where people keep getting the idea that rogues/warriors will pass on ranged weapons, it simply never happens. I’ve even had them roll need against my hunter on statless ranged weapons- that are solely for pulling- because they claimed that damage from the pull is worth it.
