Cross realm raiding

What are the chances everything t11 and lower become cross realm raidable like in og cata?

I haven’t seen any dev or really anyone talk about this.

Was it like that in OG Cata?

I don’t know, but it would hamper GDKPs, unless they made gold cross-realm tradeable.

It was actually in MoP that they introduced it, but it was kind of wonky until WoD.

This is a poor idea; if you’re seeking this experience, perhaps consider playing retail instead of attempting to alter the game. If you’re unable to raid in the desired content, you might need to find a new guild, recruit additional members, or consider a server transfer.

This was never in cata.

Nor does it belong. Let’s just hope they keep LFR removed! LFR was bad in the original Cataclysm, but this time it would be even worse.

LFR was in Cata. It was introduced with Dragon Soul, though that it not what they are talking about. They are talking about cross realm raiding, IE what the current LFG system does with M+, current expac, custom groups, and legacy content.

While I agree that it was bad, that’s not what this poster is referencing.

It doesnt hinder it anywhere else. Even if it did, the GDKP crowd is NOT who we want to cater to.

Yes, it was. I didn’t say it wasn’t; I just said it shouldn’t be added!

I mentioned that to prevent them from bringing it up in the future, as has happened before with similar posts.

We do not want any more RETAIL TRASH added.

Just ignore him save yourself a headache

Umm maybe not. I mean, afaik, SoD isn’t, and MoP will introduce personal loot.

Personally, I haven’t been doing GDKP, but I would probably prefer to play a version with the option to, and definitely with the community that has its own player driven solutions.

Read. The first part isn’t to you. There are two people in my reply.

I didnt ask. What you said isn’t relevant because that isn’t what the poster is talking bout, period.

I literally didn’t ask. Just correcting you on what the post is about.

GKDP isn’t a solution. As we have gone over a myriad of times. Me saying it’s not who we should cater to was not an invitation to infect another post with it. Talk about it with a wall.

I brought it up in the context that cross realm raiding without the ability to trade gold would impact it.

That also wasn’t an invitation for you to interject with your own politicized and divisive narratives about how (you think) people should play the game, but of course you’re free to do so.

In any case, group loot might solve issues for cross realm raiding. At that point we might start asking what problems realms solve to begin with, or consider whether Retail doesn’t solve all the problems that this would solve as well…

:woman_shrugging:

It is indeed relevant as it’s the only feature released in Cataclysm that pertains to the original post’s topic.

it was kinda there with LFR

Don’t say that it’s “irrelevant” for the younger audience who have never played the original Cataclysm.

I’m for whatever makes LFR queues pop faster.

Blizzard has confirmed that Looking For Raid (LFR) will not be added to Cataclysm.

I know why you brought it up, it doesnt make it relevant. Its not what this thread is about. Period. Cross Realm raiding and LFR two entirely different systems released literal years apart

Link? /10char

Personal loot was added in WoD wasn’t it? It’s been a while so I can’t fully remember.

Apparently you don’t even know what I brought up, nevermind why.

Ok. There is no reason to make such a statement in reply to anything I’ve stated.

Anyway, listen, I don’t know what your issue is or whether I’m just reading some bad attitude vibes in your posts to me that are unintended, but it doesn’t matter.

I mentioned GDKP as a loot system that would be hampered by cross realm raiding if they were to introduce it, unless of course they also introduce cross realm gold trading.

That is absolutely relevant to the thread. Your comments and attempt to police my opinions however are not.
