Not just for my server. I love it here.
Unlike some other players in the game and on the forums, I care about server health for all the servers.

The only way it works is with large server pops that are well balanced as far as pvpers go on both sides. That would be great but it seems like a pipe dream. The pvp pool has already dwindled so much I see the same players in cross server games all the time now.

I am seeing too, i think the cross server kinda sped up the ranking life. Idk though I don’t play to rank.
Either way it’s still fun to BG and have fellow say “wow i thought you all left”
Queue times would be insane on all but maybe several servers.
They pretty much doubled over night with the initial region split.

If they were server specific, the hardcore pvpers would have sought some time of balance on the servers.
There is no incentive with all the knowledge at hand to play on a balanced server.

Server pride went a long way into making games more competitive, especially in AV. It was also fun to form rivalries with certain players.
The problem was the queue times. On my original server that was Alliance dominated, 4-5 hour queues for AV were common.

Won’t lie, server rivalry was something I was looking forward too.
I’ll get the occasional Kromcrush Alliance in a pug BG and I make it a point to go after them.

I wish they hadn’t happened, I have somewhat fond memories from Vanilla of going up against the familiar faces of the horde even if they did have one dedicated gaming guild group that won most of the time.

I more or less understand why they did cross server though for the queue times.
Don’t have to, it did happen and the world rejoiced.

I would have far preferred for BGs to be server specific. There were rivalries formed in Phase 2 that could not really continue once the PVP was taken out of the world. It is also less toxic when you are playing with people on your own server. I think it would have helped with better server balance as well. There are for sure drawbacks but I agree with you.
Once in awhile there are premade server vs server battles. Those also tend to be the most competitive, fun games so that is great. That and wargames will have to do.

yeah, but would Blizzard react differently if they lost thousands of subscriptions - entire servers worth - over not being able to take part in the honor farm.
