They literally said there’s going to have to be a lot of coding involved in a lot of these changes.
Relax. You’ll get it eventually.

Ok? That’s their job and they had plenty of time to work on it with SL being light on content.
I’m perfectly relaxed. I play both factions already and tanks never have to wait long for queues.
I didn’t know you have all of the inner workings and timetables for everything they plan to do. Good to know. Can you give us all of the inside info on the Alpha and Beta goals? That’d be super.
Im surprised you don’t have all that since you know just how little time they have to get it done.
Because I follow interviews and pay attention to what they say about the difficulties in going through that coding and how they want to ease people into it.
You’re claiming it’s not hard and they have all the time to do it, so let’s not act like this is something you know anything about.
It’s only about helping players doing elite content make groups. Those people have been quitting, and those people matter.
Queued content is largely irrelevant, already has relatively decent queue times, and the PvP side already queues against itself to reduce wait times.
I’m not really sure how much benefit allowing that content to be cross-faction would be.
I honestly don’t see why it shouldn’t be though, seems like oversight or unwillingness to do put in the work required for it (which I imagine since it is match making is probably a lot more than allowing invites cross faction)
Having it cross faction would probably be a large help for low level dungeons though and possibly Alliance LFR queues if they are substantial?
This refers to random dungeon queues, which we know you cannot queue for xfaction. I was referring to making a post in the Dungeon premade section for a normal or heroic dungeon group and yes, you would probably have to go to the dungeon entrance as you do for Mythic+. As you say, somebody leaving the group after you start would present the same issues as M+, in that you are unable to fill that spot via a queue. I think they need to reconsider using the queue system for dungeons (normal and heroic) and only drawing the members from the pool that select either xfaction or non-xfaction. It would seem a logical thing to do imo.
this. The elites are hard to replace. The casuals are a dime a dozen.
I am willing to sacrifice TWO raid tiers if it removes the faction barrier completely!
Uhh…no actually. After SL bombed and failed, lost most of the subs it had, they’ve been busy working to rush SL and QOL updates and DF dev because they gave up on SL.
Dragonflight 2026 confirmed.
after 9.2.5 they might bring up some legacy raids for 9.2.6… Uldir sounds like a good one.
And I will give up an entire expansions raid tiers if they give us housing AND remove the faction barrier
They will be doing everything slowly, adding new interactions with time. I think it’s because so much of the game is woven into the Factions.
You need to clear Mythic to form a pug?
if Wow went through a sandbox phase, i’d play that.
I wish their “baby steps” would come faster. Still extremely disappointed we’re probably not getting cross-faction guilds with 10.0, even though that social tool so fundamental to pre-made groups… It takes me from “excellent, now I can main my Alliance characters again” to “well… I guess I’m stuck maining Horde characters I hate still and just occasionally bringing Allies with my friends when running on alts.” And it sucks.
It’s almost like they could make it an opt in.
They’re taking the lazy way out and essentially saying casual player’s endgame isn’t as important as the hardcore.
they’re basically half donkey’ing it.
we’re not getting cross faction guilds. we’re not getting cross faction random groups. we’re not getting cross faction communicaiton in neutral areas, etc.
I’m most upset about the guild thing. now instead of managing a guild, if I want to let people play cross faction I have to manage two guilds and a community that links them.
thanks, blizzard for making my job (and yes, GM of a raid guild is a lot of work I get paid nothing for) immeasurably harder. great job.
I was under the same impression as well. Not sure what the point is, if it’s not for queued content as well. Probably because they still want people to buy faction changes. $$$ > what the players want.
Essentially, they are still only catering to their hardcore players. If you’re a casual player they really don’t care about you lol
