They’ve already responded a ton … free xfers are the only solution
Your right. Nobody is moving to a server where their faction is lower, especially if it’s PVP. And nobody is going to move from a megaserver to a low pop, because they know it’s going to suck in about a week when interest dies off.
But temporarily? To solve todays problem? It seems like a no-brainer. Unfortunately, they’ve probably already made their minds up to say nothing and let the problem go away on it’s own when people quit.
They have your money already and you will continue to pay…
A single bluenote ensuring plus Xfer for people who leave mega realms would solve all our troubles for now. In time, with emergence of healty realms, a small part of people who Xfer would go back do bene/faerlina and we all would be happy
I think alot of people would stay in a healthy realm.
Some sort of temporary transfer option is getting suggested a lot lately, it actually sounds like a good idea.
There are many ways to deal with the current situation and this would be one of them.
People want to play the game and they don’t want to commit to transferring to a server that might die. So you give them the option to return and suddenly they no longer have a reason to stay in the mega server with the queues anymore.
It doesn’t require brand new tech to be developed like raising the pop cap, it just requires blizzard to put some work to make it happen.
Come to Old Blanchy.
Pretty sure today’s the same as last week, which is the same as it was 5 weeks before that. The Classic folks either don’t care or they do and there’s nothing they can do because Blizzard doesn’t think you’re important enough to give 2 craps about. You can choose which.
They have said more than once all they’re going to do is offer free transfers to other realms and will do nothing else.
There is no fix coming. Everyone in queue either has to make the choice to deal with it, transfer or unsubscribe for 1-2 months.
I have no idea what you’re talking about. I haven’t transferred anywhere and have been on Benediction since it opened. How is it my fault I can’t play on the server I’ve always been on because there is a 17k queue? You’re either trolling or don’t have a clue.
But what about me? I was on Grobbulus the very day it launched. This is my fault?
According to the forum trolls, yes. They say you should have taken the transfers.
The entire reason they are doing this is to cash in on the people that want to transfer back after leveling. Otherwise, laying is pointless.
They seem to prefer money over good PR these days.
Actually people were pushing for the current solution sooner before servers became mega servers.
They have gave an option. You simply don’t like it but regardless it exists. We all know from YEARS of wow expansion releases what happens before all the xrealm garbage thats in retail now. You were 100% informed and had the ability to be informed in your choice. I would have left it to because people are so entitled they think companies should cave even though they should have known better prior.
I took a med - high pop realm out of the gate and have loved this server since day 1. I made an educated decisions based on past information.
You’re not wrong, but also there’s still no other solution. They should continue to keep free realm transfers available to healthy servers that can thrive. Even if they can fix server size via increasing it it’s not the long term sustainable solution. We will just get here again in the next expansion or the next one.
Or cancel subs. I cancelled mine and provided queues as feedback for the reason. It expires at the end of October so they have a few weeks to turn it around or I just won’t resub. It would be silly to keep paying for a game I can’t play. No, I will not transfer for a 3rd time as a fix for Blizzard’s inability to maintain server health. My guild isn’t moving, too much invested in building our community where we are. The only real answer is to find a new game by a more competent company.
The problem with this is that there’s the other side, which is, “Blizzard, we don’t care about queues, just open your realms so we have the freedom to choose where to play!”
Which is actually the side that I support as well. There are already ample options for people who wish to not deal with queues.
Let me clear this up for ya. I play on pagle and can play every day, I paid to transfer from bene to pagle for TBC because I foresaw what’s happening now.
But PLEASE explain to people how it’s THEIR fault. Players have 0 info on playerbase/ faction balance on any realm, because the info isn’t given to us. We actively have to look at third party sites and get a rough idea of what’s what. Also, blizzard could have limited toons being made on these realms ages ago. Lopsided factions? Cool… No more new ally until its back to a moderate faction balance.
There were PLENTY of steps that blizzard could have taken to prevent, or at least moderate what is now. This issue isn’t just an “issue”, people are spending money for something they can’t play. We can see “full” on realm lists, but full can be 8k, or 12k… full could mean anything without ACTUAL statistics.
When I knew my cousin and I needed to get off Bene, I literally spent close to 40 hours watching realms. Made toons, talked to people, watched the AH and trade chat, checked sites, warcraftlogs just to get an IDEA if we would be alright to spend money and transfer.
Why does anyone have to do this to play a damn game? Simp harder
The thing I don’t understand is how people are siding with blizzard… That’s what baffles me. Most of them usually say it’s your fault you didn’t take the transfer but deem to forget we payed to transfer to those servers. So that’s xyz amount of IRL spent. Then those same people still continue to bash those people that refuse to leave. Like are you serious or being a troll…
The fact that blizzard allowed the mega servers to get the way that they did isn’t the player bases issue. That’s blizzards fault. Anyone who says or agrees with blizzard needs a reality check on that one. That’s like saying McDonald’s made me fat or I’m gonna sue because I drank hot coffee and it burnt me even though it said caution hot.
The fact that blizzard is barely commenting on the issues with the queues besides that we’re offering free xfers to these servers. That’s a blanket fix. Not a permanent fix. Permanent fix would allow people to still log in and play the game and still be in queue for their home server but they’d be on a different server till their home server queue pops. Multiple games have done that over the years when queues for a server are bad. Common sense.
Now am I saying blizzard is a company that fixes things at a fast pace? God no, more like snail pace, but God forbid if you exploit to gain a simple yet non threatening advantage over anything boom cya don’t pass go, perma banned.
The amount of misshapes this company has caused in the past 6 months is beyond pathetic that I’m surprised more people haven’t caught on.
- Counter boosters - nerfs dungeon xp to the ground and prevents average players that solo farm for gold to raid. Retarded fix
- Queues - free transfers to other servers causing those servers to have queues. Retarded fix.
- Bots - not gonna get started on this one.
- Auction house - big fail. The fix they did it did little too no fix. They need retails AH. Counters the classics AH add-ons and deletes the lag it causes.
If we’re spending money to play a game with a monthly subscription the game needs to run at a smooth and efficient way. Not this BS that’s happening for the past month.
So I repeat anyone who is siding with blizzard needs to get their heads examined!
