Crests requiring higher M+ Dungeons?

TBH I’d say keep the current scaling relative to difficulty, but increase the Crest requirements:

  • Whelpling from Heroic Dungeons
  • Drake from Mythic 0-4
  • Wyrm from Mythic 5-9
  • Aspects from Mythic 10+

Hero track from Mythic 8+…

If you want the higher crests, you should have to do the equal content.
Shut up.

I LOVE this!!!

M+ 9’s are still much easier than mythic raiding. So you shut up.

ok cool, I really don’t care lmfao.
Make it higher, I’ll still do the higher keys.
Keys are much more fun than raiding regardless of how hard they are.

Furthermore I’d say change the criterium for getting the Crests from a completion…

  • 0 for a Completion at over 40% of the time, (same as rating)
  • 5 for a Completion on time
  • +1 (6) for a 2 chest Completion
  • +3 (8) for a 3 chest Completion

This welfare 5 Crest system just doesn’t work…

Wondering if its kind of copying the recent raid tiers

How early mythic raid bosses have the lower ilvl drops, but remains mythic track, gives mythic track in vault, and gives aspects

9s drop lower ilvl gear, but give higher vault and also gives aspects?

Like you dont have to kill the max level reward boss to get the benefit of it. Then copied over to m+ crest rewards?

Makes sense in my head lol

Do Drakes crests drop from +2 to +3 as well? I assume so, but with their scale change it appears there’s a…gap.

I guess, but there is no lockout either so you can just farm the easy content over and over and over.

Sure. Depends on what it is you’re after too though.

I don’t recall anyone asking for this change.

This is a bummer for a casual player who mostly peaked at wyrm crests. In season 3 wyrm’s dropped in 11’s, in season 4 they dropped in 2’s which they said were like 12s. And now they’ll drop in what are supposedly like 14s.

Not a huge deal, just disappointing.

I agree 100% I am glad they made the change.

They want casuals to work harder.

Why do you want your reward track to end sooner?

Would the game be better if hypothetically, there were no gear upgrades to be had upon hitting 70?

Good change. One good dps and a semi-decent tank can carry a 6. This leads to fallout where we get people that don’t even know what affixes do in higher keys leading to silly depletes. This will lengthen the character progression requirements slightly but it’s overall a good thing. +9 seems like a half measure though. Make it a +10.

I like it to start sooner. It was easy to get into pug 2s and start picking away at upgrading to 515 slowly. Getting into pug 4s will be tough once you’re behind. I don’t play a ton so my reward track ending too soon isn’t really an issue.

So… what drops in 2s and 3s?

Pretty indifferent to this myself. Though I wish they would make items that can upgrade to max by default. Its a pain to refarm max level for bis if you get a item while gearing.

+2s and +4s won’t have such a ilvl gap between them.

I mean more about getting into groups. +4s will be flooded with high item level players. 2s kind of are now too, but theres also more chill groups that aren’t looking for overgeared players.

Anyway, I already said it wasn’t a huge deal, just disappointing. I like this current season’s gearing.

I’m also going to reserve judgement until we see the difficulty of the tuning. Given all the complaining about 0s and low keys being too big of a jump from heroics, and that they are pushing the rewards back a bit, its entirely possible we could see 0s and low keys start off a bit easier. Not saying I’m hoping for that myself, just every season varies in difficulty a bit anyway.
