I don’t do that and it’s still too many keys.
Unless they:
- make m+ gear relevant only for m+.
- Raid gear relevant for raiding.
- delve gear only relevant for delving.
Similar to the ilvl adjustment of pvp gear.
Which would at least solve the issue of delves eating into low m+ keys. Not just solving m+ being mandatory for raiding and raiding being mandatory for m+, and delves being mandatory as starter gear.
how to say “we will do anything else other than what people liked from last xpac” without actually saying it.
you added levels to myth track and now are going to put the reqs for crafted top tier back to DF levels essentially giving away ilvls for free. then instead of moving gilded crest drops back into 6/7s you are making it somewhat feasible to essentially grind 4s and trade 45 runed for 15 gilded. why is blizz doing everything else but what we dug from dragonflight? I dont get it. just move the goal posts back to DF S3/S4 and call it a day. that would entail allowing gilded crests to drop from 6s thus giving players a less punishing grind to get comfortable in 7s and beyond. put myth vault pulls in the +8 slot, leave the rune trade up and crafted req number where they are right now.
That’d be actually worse, somehow.
A simple solution that should have been in from the start. After all this expansion was shipped as alt friendly with all of this account bound currency…
The hero’s trail equipment needs an upgrade. Having only 6 updates is terrible, and makes the disparity between hero and myth very large.
Nah, the solution is pretty simple:
- increase the drop rate on raid gear (from 1 per 5 to 1 per 2)
- increase how many crests you get from a full raid clear (from 90 to 270 or 360)
No, BlizZard moves at a glacial pace. Much slower.
Either way, these crest changes still don’t fix one of the major underlying issues.
They’re gonna have to to pick one:
Hard content or weekly lootbox vault.
Cannot have both. DF S3 got lots of engagement because it was a steamroll and didn’t require much effort to proc the weekly lootbox. TWW S1 has gotten a lot less engagement as hard(er) content isn’t worth playing for a weekly lootbox larping as progression.
They can easily have both. Bad game design, but yes they can.
The heroic raid should be dropping gilded. There’s no reason that you can’t upgrade your heroic gear from the raid using crests that drop from that very same raid! So many people are hard-capped in the 619-620 area because they have heroic gear they can’t upgrade.
Thanks for the explanation Kaivax.
I dont get how they think encouraging people to do piles of 4s to trade up for gilded crests is somehow the better option…
You can clearly see my looking at my character’s page that I am not asking for myself, but instead for the people who aren’t doing this kind of content.
No kidding.
I just dumped all of mine to max all my alts.
Cool. But did we forget the part where…
Lets hope it takes a while before fun is detected because we all know what happens next. O.O
i dissagree. solo content should never grant gear this powerful. That should be exclusive to the highly cooperative forms of content.
Then they should be buffing those contents instead.
raiders don’t need more loot lol, especially at the higher difficulty end of the spectrum.
No, they should clearly have to go to M+ to get their loot. As they’ve been doing since 7.1.
