Crest Acquisition Improvements Coming Next Week in 11.0.7

I second this question, while no one I know has been banned my circle people have been having a lot of anxiety over these two questions. I’ll be honest and admit that I have not trusted Blizzard to handle this well based on criticisms regarding worsening customer service and an increase in automatic banning.

It was mentioned that time investment is a factor for that and I agree. People value their time and effort and most of heroic Nerub can be cleared in an hour while it may take an hour to finish a tough dungeon, and being adequately rewarded for the effort is a good way to keep people trying.

Reward effort with sugar, not salt.

flex amount of crests for a group is an interesting take on the issue.

Blizzard has to make M+ improvements because M+ participation is so bad. Many people can’t play alts, and latecomers don’t want to play when they see 0/1170 crests. You would take higher ilvl DPS/tank/healer with high IO to grind for gilded crests. Alts and latecomers are in trouble so they quit. M+ improvements should have been this way from the start but it’s too late. M+ improvements need way more than crests/valorstone/gold.

Even with the old crest rates, M+ participation was inflated by the crest system.

TLDR version.

The player pop is plummeting and no one wants to do this version of m+. Instead of ever being proactive and learning from all of the past mistakes we have made the same mistake again. And once again it will be too little and too late. In season two we will be making the same mistake again, so see you in the patch after that for a similar version to this.

Cool. Now drop the RP garbage and make the names of the crests more straightforward. I still don’t know these names by heart.

This would be more cost efficient than S2 when it was equal to Myth 4. This makes sense for post-achievement, otherwise it’s pretty wild math.

Shiny crests, shinier crest, super shiny crests, shiniest crests.

Can’t we hotfix these changes in now? I’m doing a bunch of keys to take advantage of the dungeon quest on my alts this week…it feels kinda bad that now I’m leaving a lot of crests on the table as opposed to defering my efforts to next week.

It wont be, it never is

So, 200,000 of the millions of active players isn’t a small percentage?

Yeah I think this being the post achievement norm is fine.

i still dont like doing high-end 5man dungeons. rewards have nothing to do with that. I like the big epic raids with dozens of bros on the screen.

Very good changes. This helps with the leaver situation. Since now theres an actual reward for completion still. Having nearly a 60% reduction in rewards was very not player time friendly.

Now i hope we get to see some notes on 11.1 soon. Please revert 50% max hp bloodshield and/or vb not affecting bloodshield. Its already rough with bdks not being seen anywhere near the top when theres usually some guys doing their best every season to push as bdk. But with how the dungeons are designed, we really need the cushion that bloodshield gave us prior to 11.0. The tank busters being reduced mentioned in the tank changes a while ago just didnt follow through

This will be the starting point for Season 2.

So the M+ railroading will continue, but stronger than ever.

Got it.

RIP I rolled up my Weathered to Carved then my Carved to Runed and then my Runed to Gilded earlier today when I saw that the cap was removed.

Even if it takes longer to get them, they should drop from +9 or +10 delves. They wanted Delves to be another way to gear but then cap it is off. Its basically either deal with the massive toxicity and issues fom specs that M+ is or Raid at the very top end.

Mythic+ is not the content that needed crest acquisition buffs, and why is the 45 runed crest trade-up and 60 crest cost for a crafted piece equal to 5/6 the starting point?
