Creating my own raid groups to farm bosses?

is it againts the tos if i create a raid group with one toon, log on another, join the raid group and then use that toon to kill the boss numerous times?

also, as i am trying to get shadowmourne on my dk, with 8.0 its now possible to do with your alts, you need at least 3 alts parked at blood queen, alt f4 on toons to make them appear and you can bite them, again is this againts tos?

I am confused why you would want to create a raid group join. Once the boss is dead it is dead for that raid ID

As for alt f4 to try to manipulate the game mechanics, I am going to go out on a limb to say yes, it is

I’m not certain how you would kill the boss multiple times, as Raid ID’s tend to restrict that kind of thing. Multiboxing, which is what you seem to be describing shouldn’t be an issue. While multiboxing isn’t supported, it isn’t against policy.

That would be a bit more questionable, Roxxirar. If you are using a limitation of the technology to keep characters logged in so you can accomplish something on another character, I’d probably recommend against it.

You will want to remove the video as Blizzard has already told you it isn’t exactly something that would be allowed. It is circumventing game mechanics to do something that shouldn’t be able to be done. I would suggest sending a link to that video to hacks@blizzard.com and reporting the video to YouTube.

he said its more questionnable, he recommands me to not do it, i linked the video because the person said in it that layering tech blizz uses in bfa changed and thats how he could get his quest done, he didnt use any 3rd party software, its just that when you are on a raid with your alts and have wow on a ssd, you can log in and back on 2 toons before they are logged out, they are considered as dc, just like ppl who use alt f4 to leave game but still appears as logged in game

He recommended that you not do it because as an employee he can’t come out and say that it will get you banned because Blizzard doesn’t deal in absolutes like that. However from what you are describing it very much would be against the rules, you are purposefully bugging out the client to gain an advantage. This isn’t a simple mistake, this is having to do numerous steps to do something. There is a reason that you can not log into more then one character on an account at the same time, this would be circumventing that restriction.

I’m will to guess that this will be patched soon and that some vacations will be handed out for those that were doing it.

thats the confusing part, before bfa, this was impossible to do that kind of things, its the changes they did with this expansion that allow it, so thats why i came in here and asked if this was all right fam

More questionable is as close as you will get to absolutely under no circumstances should you do this without them actually saying it.

Read between the lines. And people got in trouble for abusing layering in raids in Classic. Why would that same policy not apply in retail?

Quick question, if I may.

Is it acceptable to form a raid group of your multiboxed alts to do the Blood Infusion quest? They would, of course, all be online and active at the same time.

Thanks.

If you can form a group and complete a quest with other players, you can do the same with characters on WoW licenses on your account.

Yes, but they didn’t make any changes that would outright allow you to log into two different characters on the same account (note this is without multi-boxing which would require separate accounts)… You have to actually do a ton of things to actually do what you are asking, it wasn’t something that Blizzard intended with the layering changes.
