CRBG do not work

Fact: people who want CRBG in classic WoW are keyboard turning backpedallers who can’t keybind to save their life and don’t want to gain a reputation of being a terrible player on their server because of the anonymity of having a 10k+ pvp pool to hide out in.

Fact:

You don’t understand pvp.

It isn’t about the PvP at that point bud, it’s about the community, server drama, and rivalries it creates that can carry over to world bosses that CRBG kills.

I think my idea is good. Have cRBG’s turned off default, when the queues start to hit 30 or 40 minutes, turn them on and pair people with other servers that have similar queues.

Actually not a terrible idea as far as things go. Props, because I never considered that.

Battlegroups still have this. You must not understand how this works. Which is okay not everyone can.

I remember sitting at the WSG portal on my 19 twink Rogue and just wishing this 2 hour long queue would actually pop.

Really now, I can kill people from other servers contesting the Azuregos spawn? I guess you’re right, I don’t understand how it works.

In what way is it not true?

The less people there are you have to compete with the easier time you will have?

Oh forgive me, I thought this was a topic about BGs… Excuse my ignorance.

Been playing this character on and off for 14 years and I’ve never had anyone call me Gondor. Epic, I’m gonna make sure it sticks, thanks bro.

I know why its done, I deliberately ignored that when posting… There is no need to go into the full backstory on why people faction stack, only that it exists and is unstoppable and exacerbated by the CRBG system.

Maybe in a very dead Battle group, but in a larger population battle group you’re very unlikely to see the same players regularly.

There were few people I saw on occasion in TBC / Wrath on a decent basis but typically it was players I would no joke never see again… That was my “Battle group experience”

Battle groups obviously did not solve the issue, because if the Battle groups were working to keep Q’s popping properly then they would not have merged them into a single homogeneous blob by region like now.

No problem, it just felt natural… Character looks like a Gondor… Galdor just feels too formal…

So it’s relevance to classic is? Nothing…gotcha.

You just didn’t pvp enough I guess. I was in the ‘best’ battlegroup there was and it felt like a community to me. Maybe if you’re worried about the pvp community you should pay more attention to it :man_shrugging:

It is a topic about BGs. and how CRBGs don’t work. They’re bad for the servers because they kill the community. My battlegroup was huge enough that I never saw the same people regularly, if ever again.

BG9 did not feel like a community friend… I was there too when it was still good.

I don’t want CRBGs, what worries me is that it will end up being their solution to one of the many problems that comes with launching classic as bonus content for retail instead of as a standalone game.

Then you weren’t paying attention man! Sorry =(

The launch under the same subscription is kinda strange but it makes sense to pad the numbers to make both forms of IP look good on paper… Its all about their investors.

CRBG’s work perfectly fine for the issue they are designed to address, BG queues not popping.

Very true, battlegrounds were more organized when it was server only.
You started getting people who didn’t respond and started calling people trash.
A lot more afking.
