Crazy cat ladies/men are not crazy

There is nothing crazy about trying to protect all the innocent kitties in the world. You are crazy if you don’t want to.

The IRL Crazy Cat Lady on my street moved out leaving behind a pile of left over kitties!

A few migrated into my yard, my dogs scared all but 2 away, the 2 that are left will prolly get adopted if they stick around, and as I have food and fresh water out for them they aren’t going anywhere!

One is tiny and super sweet but he’ll march right up to my pits and swat them right on the nose! Furocious little blighter! Oh man I used one of my character names to describe a kitten. Damn I play too much!

Stay Safe! :mask:

Cats are precious little hunters. Tiny apex predators that tolerate our existence because we give them treats.

Protect all of the kitties. Feral druid power!

Can anyone who loves animals that much really be that crazy?

Yes they are. Says so right in the title.

I used to hate cats, but one winter my house got invaded by mice. After spending a ton of money on all kinds of traps without solving the problem I finally decided to get my first cat, and I love him! Infact I love cats in general now … except maybe my sister’s cat cause she is just plain mean … just trying to lightly pet her on the head or give her some treats has gotten my hands and face cut up on multiple occasions.

Having a cat or even more than one cat is not crazy.

Having so many cats that they are miserable and unnaturally shoved together in a home too small to allow for their natural needs to be met is usually crazy but universally cruel. And the worst offenders among these generally walk around with a stupid smile on their faces thinking they’re the best ally cats ever had on the planet. It’s revolting. These are the people that get referred to as “crazy cat lady.” Having a couple of cats doesn’t make you a crazy cat person.

I am more of a dog person, but I love cats, too. So many cats deserve better than the crazy people they live with.

I knew I liked you.

I’m a crazy cat lady and I’ll wear the title with pride. Cats are the best. Dogs are cool but they’re typically clingy and needy, cats just come to you when they want attention and ignore you the rest of the time. I love it.

I’ve been contemplating whether to get a cat or not but considering my long work hours I’m hesistant to leave it alone for such long periods of time…

Obvious solution: Get two cats.

You can’t leave dogs alone, but you can leave cats. Cats are cool without you for much longer stretches than dogs provided they have access to clean water and decent food.

I mean…not for days and days, but if you just mean long shifts and irregular hours, a cat would be fine with you.

I’ll probably get one or two after all of this covid stuff settles down and things go back to normal…if it ever does…

Seriously though, consider getting two. It doesn’t apply to all cats across the board, but most of them do better alone if they have a companion.

Get another to keep it company, thankfully most cats tend to not be very needy.
But that being said, each animal has its own personality. You can get a dog and it can be very independent, and you can get a cat that can be very needy. But both tend to be needy and independent, respectively.

I have 3 indoor cats, and so they all have somebody to play with while the house is empty. If you have a job where you’re spending days at a time away from home, you might be better off not getting any pet. Not in a mean way, but you need the time to actively care for them, is all!

But two cats should be enough for them to keep each other company. While cats are independent, they definitely do need play and attention sometimes!

It’s just 10 and 12 hour shifts so it’s not too bad and I only live 7ish minutes from work so I can go see them during lunch so I’ll probably get a couple when things normalize…if ever

Adopt that is not get from a breeder*

I may or may not become a crazy dog man.

Im more of a dog person i used to hate all cats until a stare cat changed my mind im neutral about them now.
