Same here, been stalking this thread for a week and I feel like I owe it to all Mac users. Very sad that this issue hasn’t resolved. Can’t do my favorite thing in WoW which is battlegrounds. Been doing world quests and N’zoth content (except the raid of course) which are the only things I can kind of do. Anything related with other players I can’t do, even killing rare minions while questing if it gets too crowded it will freeze. Fortunately, going into Visions has not given me trouble unlike other people in here. Good luck everyone, it is a frustrating situation but don’t let that affect your stress levels.

I mean at this rate yeah there most likely won’t be anything but if in the smallest chance there is then it’ll be Tuesday lol
It will resolve the crashing and panics for users that have Intel graphics only in their machines, but it definitely won’t fix the other issue, which is the lag and freezing for long periods of time. That’s what sucks right now - Mac players are experiencing two distinctly different issues, but at the same time they combine to make one massive clusterfudge.

We’re upset that you knew about this issue, but continued to push the patch when(in more ways than 1) it clearly wasn’t ready and ignored us. You haven’t taken initiative in making things right by apologizing, communicating, and compensating us, and even further, you’re choosing to ignore us now. If we reach out in game, we hit a wall. If we reach out via social media, we get BLOCKED. As upsetting as it is that this happened to begin with, your actions are what have made this worse.

Come on blizz, it’s been nearly 2 weeks…like ok I understand if it’s a very difficult bug to fix or something but why aren’t you communicating with us? Are you hoping we’ll just say f it and buy a pc? Are your egotistical developers saying “lol who uses a Mac anyway” and just half assing finding a fix? I really doubt it but it sure seems like it, it sure seems like you don’t really care as evidenced by your massive lack of communication.

And dying of boredom in your beds, many minutes from now, would you be willing to trade all the minutes, from this second to that, for one chance – just one chance – to come back here and tell Blizzard that they may take our game time, but they’ll never take our freedom!

hm what I even thought was a work around (doing older content, avoiding group stuff act) doesn’t even work now, as people have stated doing old content does, in fact, still affects usability

I have been struggling with my mental health the past month, and constantly being made fun of by my guild and friends for not being able to participate in the game cause I’m a stupid “Mac-y” is just wearing on me. I have tried to be patient with Blizzard but it’s getting to the point that I feel forced to deal with the bullshut lag, screen freezes and countless restarts to stay caught up IF they ever get around to fixing this. It’s wearing on my mental health and is making me just more and more depressed. I’m really glad you care about your clientele Blizzard, really shows the true character of your company.

Hey brother I am really sorry to hear that you are going through a lot right now in your life and that the current circumstances of the game have been antagonizing it. If you are feeling progressively worse I’d recommend you reaching out for some professional help (e.g. if you’re in college a counsler, or a therapist). I’ve dealt with my fair share of issues myself and therapy has been one of the most uplifting and positive experiences I’ve ever had. This game sometimes can really push you to a dark place, especially when it’s not functioning as intended. I’m here for you and I see and acknowledge the way you feel my brother, there’s always a sunnier day, keep your chin up.

I’m sorry to hear this.
I’ve been psychotic for more than a year on top of my other mental health issues and WoW is the only thing that can clear my thoughts. I wish I could raid with my guild tonight, but I can’t do group content because my game freezes until I dc. It’s so embarrassing when others see your character awkwardly moving in the same motion.

Call your friends and do something with them. Go to the hospital if you don’t feel save.

Same thing’s been happening to me since 8.3’s release, and I’ve been monitoring this forum since then. For me, all the solo content is pretty playable with a few freezes/lags here and there. Once I hit Uldum and Vale for the dailies, I get delays more often. Same thing on Mechagon Island and Nazjatar. Something new though, just happened moments ago.
During the 10pm Battle for Naz, I actually lost audio abruptly. It wasn’t like my macbook froze or lagged. Midfight, I just lost all WoW-audio, and it didn’t come back until after I restarted my macbook minutes later (because it froze). After it happened, I kind of froke out for a moment, thinking my speakers were killed, but the Youtube proved otherwise.
It for sure sucks that we’re not able to play the game to it’s max, but I’m sure it’ll be fixed soon. I’ve just been making the most of the situation by focusing on previous expansion reps, collectibles, and achievements.
Does anybody know if these crashes are also happening in WoW Classic?
