Thanks for the info

What does that say when the people who created the mess can not fix it? This isn’t a small start up company, this isn’t new to them. They have done this before. Same type of issue with WOD. So what the heck, blizzard.

Looks like the issue will not be fixed by next Tuesday.

This is an absolute joke. I’m guessing they still have not figured out if “there are any additional actions that [they] need to take”.

Still can’t play guess I’ll just be unable to raid and I’ll just let my subscription go and not get the new mount. The whole point they probably released thepatch early

Hey guys, i am having exactly the same problem, when im on dungeons my mac freezes for 5 or 10s, this happens mostly 8 to 10 times in a dungeon, and sometimes the game crashes and my mac restarts, this has happend since the new patch N`zoth. A lot of people has complained about this too, i guess im not the only one with this problem, i have an early 2015 macbook, oh and a friend has a 2013 macbook and does not have this problem, and my graphics card is better than his.

Please blizz, hear us out, we want to keep playing the game!!!

MAC cs let me know that the issue had nothing to do with them and that it’s your game that’s messed up. They looked at my crash reports and stated that it was something that you guys needed to fix and that I probably shouldn’t play the game until you fix it.

I’m still experiencing the freezing, mostly in the new raid content, even after the patch 2 days ago

This is their reply, when asking for a refund.

Game Master Lirtassaya here. Thank you for taking the time to petition in.

As stated, we will not be able to provide a refund or compensation.

Yeah they say all sales are final and you can’t get your money back even if you purchased gametime before they pushed through broken Mac killer 8.3. They were told on the PTR that this was an issue, they didn’t do anything about it, now they say that we don’t get our money back because it is our fault that they defrauded us by promising a service that we pay for knowing that it would not work. Last time this happened, they gave I think 5 days of gametime after getting a bunch of crap from ppl. Doesn’t seem like they really care this time. Their last blue post is proof of that. Mac cs says it’s their fault and that we shouldn’t play the game until they fix it.

What was the error for?

Mac cs said that the report showed that it was not an issue with anything Mac and that it was an issue with the game. They said nothing in the report showed anything going wrong on their end. Basically we have to wait for them to fix the game and that it’s best not to play it until they fix it.

Can you link someting about that ? screenshots or something, to put them on twitter

People have mentioned that this issue was known via 8.3 PTR, can someone link to either a thread or article or something showing as much? Just curious if blizzard really has been getting feedback about this game-breaking bug and pushed it out anyways.

Like someone else mentioned earlier - I’m paying just as much a month as someone playing on a PC, but instead of getting what Blizzard is literally charging me for, it’s actually breaking my computer. That’s F’d.

I can’t link on this phone, but once I get home I will. You can contact Mac cs and provide them with your crash reports and let them know what’s going on at getsupport.apple

Isn’t it interesting how quickly Mac will respond compared to Blizz? I’ve always found the customer support to be very good with Apple, which is partly why I continue to run Macs

I know for a fact that the update that was upposed to fix it, just rolled the function causing crash back to it’s 8.2.5 state, they literally rolled it back to last working state. which is why they were utterly mystified issue was still happening. They are still working on it, but clearly rolling back WAS tried and it didn’t work.

How exactly do you know for a “fact”

I’ve replied before but I want to describe this expeirience further the best I can without providing any memory leaks or such (not that tech savvy). Fine before 8.3 now major freezing of screen. I have a new macbook pro just updated to catalina or whatever OS just came out to the current date 1.23.20. It mostly happens in large groups of people or if i pull large spawns doesnt matter what location (uldum rares, island expd’s, world boss etc.). Screen freezes for maybe a minute or more (rainbow wheel) usually sound will say on or in pieces. I cant touch any buttons otherwise I’ll have to restart. I let it get back to normal after an obscene amount of time and I’m usually dead at that point. Extremely frustrating.

It has to be something with how WoW is interacting with the Intel/AMD/Nvidia drivers. Even Windows people are complaining about similar bugs, though it isn’t nearly as wide spread. It’s really weird that I updated the Intel driver to the 9/25/19 release date in Windows and had started having the same problems on Windows via Boot Camp that I had on MacOS. I didn’t know about them rolling the problem back and still having the bug. Are the developers even sure for certain what it causing the crash? I believe I did submit the report for the Windows crashes with that specific driver. The 2016 driver seems to be working fine, although there’s a message saying the driver is out of date. Could also be the 2019 driver in general is really bad but I wouldn’t know whether that driver has been included in 10.15.
