2016 IMAC
4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
16 GB DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 2 GB

At start of 83 it froze for between 10 and 30 seconds when opening the map or loading a new zone. Now it happens all the time - randomly it seems. It’s unplayable.

To add additional information, I attempted to raid with my guild last night and it… didn’t go well. First pull on Wrathion Normal, and in the opening casts, the entire game locked up and forced a hard restart of the computer. Our group was 18 strong.

Until this point, I have been experiencing significantly less freezing and crashing than last week, but still a severely degraded performance as compared to before 8.3 dropped.

Computer for reference:
MacBook Pro (13", Early 2015)
MacOS Catalina 10.15.2
2.9 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

almost two weeks unable to play!

Tried to raid with the guild last night, didn’t go so well. Zooming in all the way on a character and facing directly down helped right up until I had to glance up to see a mechanic lol. I haven’t tried the windowed version yet but here’s hoping it’ll at least improve the system.

Typing from work here, but I’m on the iMac…21", 2016 or '17, latest Catalina version, basically the base model. Haven’t had problems before the patch, at least not this bad. Bummer.

Could Blizzard at least get back to us with some sort of update. I would like to play now… Our game time is being wasted. Is there anyway you guys can just do a hard server shut down and fix the issue for the Mac Os client. What did you guys change? Is there anyway you can reverse it and still keep the changes that were necessary for the new patch?

I didn’t get to play any more yesterday, but this morning a couple minutes into my first island expedition caused me to freeze for over a minute. So it looks like the issue is not fixed for me, but it is happening less.

Blizzard removed the patch y’all because it made things worse. It seems better because they removed their fix that actually just made things worse. My sub will remain canceled. Start looking into alternate games.

Seriously guys just if your mac is available to do so just get a windows system. I have been suffered from the mac version for a whole week since 8.3 and I finally can’t wait and just tried to install a windows system. IT IS FREE!!! Moreover It is WAY EASIER THAN YOU BELIEVE and IT WORKS SO WELL!!! I am back to my set 3/4 with no freezing no crashing.

If you want to play and would like to try, try google “Install Windows 10 on mac” and find the one from apple, it has full guide about how to do it. And to download free Windows 10 disk image, try google “Download free windows 10 disk image” and you will find it on microsoft website.

It only takes about 150GB for the whole system and the game, so if your mac have this condition you are welcome to try it! My mac is 13 inch Macbook Pro 14 with dual-Core i7, 2.5Hz and 8GB memory, and I believe some of you guys have better one than mine.

Here we are again hearing no updates from blizzard back to step one

Not everyone can so give it a break.

Even while using PC, and not a Mac, I’m experiencing the same problems. Game stutters, crashes, and has crashed my computer forcing a manual reset.

I am having the same issue. The game is basically unplayable. Prior to 8.3 I had ZERO issues. Now the game continually crashes my entire computer. I keep hearing people going on about nvidia graphics cards but I don’t have one of those. I was hoping the maintenance on Tuesday would fix it, but alas, here we are. I have all addons disabled, graphics at the lowest possible settings, etc. and nothing helps. Please help us Blizzard!

Blizzard’s silence on this issue is completely BS. I’d like my two weeks of free gametime, please.

I am currently paying money for a game I can’t even play. Thanks, Blizzard.

This is ridiculous. We are collectively paying for a broken game and minimal communication from staff. Give us a firm timeline for a fix or give us back our dinero.

The point is we shouldn’t have to use boot camp or any other windows running program to run the game. We all pay our subscription costs same as PC players, we expect a working product for our dollar on OUR system. Posting on this forum telling people to use a work around is giving Blizzard an out, they need to take responsibility for there screw up.

Still no update lol

Absolutely agree with you. Shouldn’t have to resort to it what so ever. My iMac has the space and does run boot camp… with that being said my MacBook Pro does not and that’s the item that is on the go with me all the time and it’s unbareable.
