I’m just so very tired.
Yeah, I’ve got to say, I’m having a stronger reaction than I thought I would have, but not in a good way.
We rolled our eyes and scoffed at the story and made memes, but it always felt like we all had this background understanding that Blizzard was at least trying. Their stories were rarely great, sometimes good, but you could almost always say they were enthusiastic.
Now, it just…feels like they don’t care. Nothing matters. There’s no consequences for anything. Lore gets retconned from one patch to the next. The “improvements” we get in game are basically just them undoing bad decisions, so nothing ever really feels like it’s getting better.
I was expecting Shadowlands to land with a scoff and a bluster and we’d all chortle about it. But the reaction so far is just…a lot of people confused and depressed.
Ah yes, my favourite feature of the Shadowlands.
Giving us back abilities they took away expansions ago that don’t remotely fit any existing situational / rotational purpose.
Make sure to pre-order now, so that you can… uh…
get early access to making a Nightborne Death Knight, over a year after you probably already leveled one to 120 on a different class?
It is incomprehensibly funny to me that with the level squish Demon Hunters are going to come out of special-but-not-superhell-jail at level 10.
Did Blizzard address whether or not that means the level requirements to make DK’s and Demon Hunter’s is going away or what?

Enkie over-reacting? In front of my salad?
There’s an obvious rejoinder here about you being snippy, y’know.
if its wrong for me to be snippy, you have to admit other’s conduct is also bad
I swear to God, Enekie could post about having jam on their toast and someone could try to start discourse about it.
My point exactly. A lot of us deserve some criticism here. Some of us should think about whether we’re in a position to talk.
would you say we moved too quickly in our decision making, were too slow to respond and that we don’t live up to the high standards we set for ourselves?
and did we fail our purpose?
I wanna say “uncalled for,” but the truth is I laughed.
The amount of deaths Sylvanas’ caused still pales in comparison to the level 14 Defias Pillagers in Westfall. They are “The Jailer’s” true champion.
Ah, yes, the Jailer. Lemme just drag the cranky thread back to cranking for a moment.
We were all wondering where we’d go in terms of the next Big Bad after Sargeras and then Azshara were squandered after way too much build up. And now we know: a completely random made-up nobody with zero foreshadowing or lore relevance.
Classic Blizzard.

Hey, when someone who regularly has hysterical outbursts towards people, holds grudges against people who play fictional races that someone feels committed real war crimes, and in general, fails to differentiate fiction from reality in the most harmful ways
goes “I’m normally not this emotional”
do you really expect me to let that sleeping elephant in the room lay
https://wow.gamepedia.com/Mueh%27zala
Not saying The Jailer is Mueh’zala, but if it is there have been tidbits of lore about him.
That seems like about as much buildup as incubi have gotten. Tangental hints that they may be a thing, basically.
This is an extremely minor quibble on the tail of your criticism, but I also don’t think “The Jailer” is a very impressive name after we’ve beaten the Banshee Queen, the Lich King, The Worldbreaker…
Heck, even Garrosh Hellscream had a more exciting title.
“The Jailer” really sounds like the second boss of a random zone dungeon in this expac.
Also, this is, what, the second Maw we’ve been to?
