That’s nice but you failed to add both finishing reagents to increase
In addition if you get it made lower quality to add the effects first it’s easy to Guarantee T5 when asking for T5 it is entirely possible. People are just being scummy which has been pointed out already.
Putting both reagents is a waste if your Illustrious Insight does not get you to 100% T5. The Insight does NOT increase your Inspiration chance and if you get an Inspiration proc it goes to the next rank regardless of your bar being at 1% or 99%.
I had a raid team member under the same impression that getting the bar closer to the orange pentagon helped with a proc–it does not. She wasted many Illustrious Insights under this misconception.
Illustrious Insight is +SKILL it’s either 100% at T5 or it’s useless.
Stable Fluidic Draconium is +INSPIRATION and is only used if you can’t guarantee T5 in the first place.
Adding embellishments and missives permanently increases the difficulty for subsequent recrafts. It is entirely not possible to guarantee T5 at max ilvl with both a missive & embellishment. Level up a crafter, because you clearly don’t know the pain that is or how it even works.
I have, and I can T5 guarantee high level rings fully upgraded using embellishments and insight… My JC is fully perked towards rings. And I don’t even have 37% insight.
Perhaps rings and trinkets are easier than 2H weapons (*)… The difficulty I showed for a 2H weapon with a missive and embellishment is 390, but Skill is only 347, yet the tree for axes is maxed and inspiration (Hammer Control) is maxed (see below). Basic blacksmithing skill is also maxed (122 as previously shown above). An Illustrious Insight add +30 skill so 347 → 377, but that’s still less than 390 so not 100% guaranteed.
Base difficulty for any spark weapon is 300. +50 for an Aspect Crest to get it to 447 ilvl = 350. +15 for any T3 missive = 365. +25 for any T3 embellishment = 390. What’s the base difficulty for a Titanic Signet with no extras?
What gear are you trying to have crafted, because most of it can’t be guaranteed at max ilvl with any extras. I don’t doubt your claim about rings, but they must be easier than weapons.
(*) - My statement about rings/trinkets being easier is speculation based on this statement from the Developer Insight discussion of item upgrades for S2.
This appears to be a huge oversight by the Dev team and certainly requires looking into .
However all I was trying to get crafted was profession tools recrafted from T4 to T5 guarantee. Which is entirely possible. In the instance I’m personally annoyed about in this post it’s evident they are
A) lying about insight levels
B) not using their insight
C) as stated above using resourcefulness to be scummy.
There is no reason profession tools require posting at T4.
It’s been present since day-1 of Season 1, I think it’s not an oversight at all and is very much intentional. There are some things (armor slots and weapons for sure) that clearly cannot be set to maximum item-level without multiple tries based on inspiration procs. You could always get lucky on the first try but it’s not even 50% chance and that kind of sucks.
Other things (rings and maybe T3 gems with 75 primary & 66 secondary stats) can be guaranteed with an Insight.
Doesn’t it sound just like the dev team to say “let’s make it RNG about whether or not you can get the BEST crafted gear at max ilvl”? That’s the WoW teams modus operandi so I’m not at all surprised that it’s been this way since day-1 (still very disappointed but not surprised). I’d be overjoyed if they removed RNG from everything except damage, healing, tank-mitigation, and critical strikes. Loot (whether crafted or from drops) should be deterministic so you can steadily work towards what you want with 100% chance of eventual success in a reasonable time-frame.
One of those optional reagents only increase the skill from an insp proc or increasing the chance to gain a profession skillup (profeession skill only increases to 100 and theen its pointless) and the other one is for insight, which adds 30 skill.
If you look at the recipie difficulty needed (390) and the skill provided (347) you would understand the even using an insight wont magically make it go above 390 to 100% r5.
Show us a MAX level, 447 ring enchant with an emblishment and a missive that you can 100% R5.
Only some profession tools are 100% chance - blacksmithing for example has pickaxes that gain skill from profession points BUT a leatherworkers toolset does not.
I have a 488 skill to craft a leatherworkers knife (requires 425 for r5) so its 100% r5.
I have only 372 skill to craft a leatherworkers toolset (requires 400 for r5) so id have to use an insight to 100%.
Blacksmithing Toolbox, Leatherworkers Toolset and Needle set all only goto 372 skill, nothing else in ther profession tree increases it.
You sound more confused by the system, chances are they arent lying.
Possibly but i personally charge an additional 5k per insight, did you pay extra or just expect they can get 100%.
I think there is alot of confusion in this thread from the op, who crafts max ilvl rings without emblishments and uses an insight to cover the missive ‘cost’ and has a 100% r5 chance on them because no one in the history of dragonflight has been putting emblishments on a ring.
So op, can you 100% r5 a 447 lariet for me, haste mastery missive?
If so, can you 100% r5 a titanic might ring, 447, haste mastery missive AND a shadowflame emblishment?
Must be a blacksmith thing because engineering can R5 every single craft and LW and JC can 100% all of theirs too.
Can say so for certainty because if you put in a crafting order that demands five star quality, they cannot craft it unless that five-star is guaranteed. Plus I don’t think someone would have casually recrafted something that costs 120k gold per recraft attempt (Dracothyst+new cobraskin).
100% with emblishment and missive? I cant even accept an order that has an r5 min with an emblishment and missive and i have all weaponsmithing/speciality/hammeer control maxed on points.
Right so we have differences between professions causing people to think others are scamming them.
The other tyhing im onticing is the patterns leearned from the profssion tree hav a lower base skill needed to craft than those patterns earnt from other sources.
Obsidian Searded Heexsword (1h int sword) has a base 300 cost but a primal molten longsword (1h str sword) has a base cost of 272.
All the obsidian gear is 300, all the primal gear is 272.
Did the ring pattern come from skill tres or elsewhere?
