Why does everyone I ask tell me I can’t create a guarantee T5 craft order? I can clearly list it so why does everyone say it can’t be done? Someone please explain this system to me. I just got ripped off 3 times and they recrafted my T4 to a T4. I’m not doing orders without a guarantee, tired of this scam
Not sure what the issue is if your using a private order with another player? I just got 2 of mine recrafted via trade chat and private orders. Both were rank5 and there was the dropdown to select the orange rank5 icon as minimum recraft right there…
You have to do personal orders to be able to set a minimum quality.
Why?
No damn idea.
He said recrafting, those are personal or guild only cant be public.
That’s my issue. I am doing T5 personal orders and everyone keeps saying it’s not possible. They are saying I have to list T4 and they can recraft
I literally found someone in trade chat and sent a T5 personal order to them and got my recrafted item back at proper level.
Gear? Adding a bunch of optional items?
Items that add +recipe difficulty?
The issue is probably they’re telling you the truth. The crafting system isn’t allowing a guaranteed rank 5.
So roll the dice over and over and over in hopes you get an “inspired” craft.
Why?
No damn idea.
Isn’t that what illustrious is for? To guarantee a T5 with a reagent added?
Illustrious just adds +30 skill to the craft. Depending on the person’s skill (including profession gear, talent choices, and optional reagents), you may still need an inspiration proc to be able to craft rank 5.
In some cases, the +30 pushes you over into the threshold where you can craft rank 5 without an inspiration proc, whereas other times it pushes you into the threshold where you can barely craft rank 5 but only with an inspiration proc.
You can gaurentee a r5 craft using an insight and max rank mats, on gear that has no missive or emblishments.
If you pick your stats or put an ebmlishment it puts the skill above what you can attain even using maxxed out profession knowledge and insight and max rank mats - you need the inspirtation proc to attain r5.
Thats why alot of crafters advertise r5 with r2 mats because to get that r5 craft its 100% based on inspiration and works out cheaper to the crafter.
No one ‘ripped you off’, you missunderstood the system.
Considering that if you listed it with an emblishement or missive no one could even accept the order (at highest ilvl) having an r5 min is a waste.
That’s cap I had my 424 rank 5 boots crafted requiring r5 crafted no problem
I made my 447 goggles with a 100% chance to R5 (with the additional embellishment for success chance and the gear to choose the stats).
Also had a pair of 447 bracers made with a 100% chance to succeed.
If the person says “send it as R4 minimum” then they clearly aren’t willing to spend an insight or they aren’t fully committed to what they are trying to craft for you.
Those boots don’t take extra embellishments or stat missives because the stats and effect are built-in. That’s why it was easier to hit r5.
Even if you just added the enchanted wyrm crest to bump up the item level, it’s possible you would’ve received a r4 because any addons increase difficulty of the craft.
This is the way.
This is what I thought, so it is doable and they are just trying to charge for insight without using insight. Thank you for clearing this up. One item did not need insight, the other would have though for a skill I added. I craft R5 rings all the time with procs no issue so I thought it was odd they kept telling me to R4 it
424? I said max ilvl, currently 447 requiring an additional 50 skill. ITS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT INSPIRATION PROC
The crafter may have rerolled on your behalf using their mats, its a common thing.
A Enchanted Aspects Shadowflame crest (447ilv at rank 5) adds +50 skill, a rank 3 missive for stats you want adds +15 skill and an emblishment rank 3 adds +25 skill.
EG for my blacksmith maxxed out in skill trees for everthing, has 335 skill to craft a weapon using rank 3 mats, the pattern base skill is 300.
300+50+15+25 = 400 skill needed to r5 and my skill to craft it is 335, adding an insight adds 30 to craft skill = 365
400-365=35 points short from 100% r5.
Because T5 often requires an inspiration proc (typically 37% to 44%, but never 100%). If it’s not 100% with an Illustrious Insight (provided at the crafter’s expense), then it can’t be guaranteed.
I’m guessing you don’t have a max-level gear crafter or you would know this. My weaponsmith re-crafting her 447 T5 weapon would drop the rank to T4 without multiple attempts because her skill is below the recipe difficulty and her inspiration proc is only 37%. I can add a finishing reagent (Stable Fluidic Draconium) to improve her chance to 46%, but that’s as high as it can go. An Illustrious Insight finishing reagent bumps her skill by +30 from 347 to 377, but the recipe difficulty is 390 so still not guaranteed.
It’s not likely that you’re being scammed–it’s takes multiple attempts to craft a T5 gear piece at max item-level and that’s just how it’s designed by the game developers. Unfortunately, when you place an order, you can’t see the item’s difficulty, nor the crafter’s skill and inspiration percent-chance… Blizz should fix that at least because people can lie about what they’re capable of doing.
Because for a lot of crafts, it IS absolutely impossible to get r5 without an inspire proc.
People can and will swap their inspired main tool for a resourcefulness to make cash on you. It’s a scum move, but I don’t see how blizzard can fix that.
